Topic: Euthanasia, or mercy killing , has been in the news more and more recently. Many people are strongly against such a practice , but there is a growing demand to have it legalized. How far do you agree with euthanasia being legal?

Band 7 IELTS Essay

These days, a lot of individuals are talking about how they feel about euthanasia becoming legal in their nation. The following essay carefully investigates this subject and poses the question of whether passive euthanasia is a good idea. This article will also explain the reasons I wholeheartedly support euthanasia.

To start, because of the horrific act of mercy killing, many people are horrified by the idea of it. They oppose euthanasia's legalization because they associate it with cases of suicidal people and worry about its improper use. For instance, if there are any legal loopholes, a doctor's negligence could transform into a case of euthanasia under any circumstance. The aforementioned examples illustrate the dreadful results of its improper application. Making individuals unwilling to put it into practice and adopt it in society.

On the other hand, by using appropriate methods for mercy killing practice. It can be a huge relief from agony and anguish to the sufferers and even their relatives. Undoubtedly, losing someone is a big loss that cannot be made up. But witnessing someone's misery and helplessness on a daily basis can be depressing. Being practical, it is also a time and money waste to invest a significant amount of resources in a patient who has no chance of healing. Although it may seem like an inhumane deed. There are many instances in our society where families lose all of their wealth to preserve the life of a patient. A patient who, for several months, has been in a coma. Therefore, someone must act rationally and make euthanasia lawful.

To summarize, the main justification for the prohibition of euthanasia is the fear of unethical practice. However, there may be other instances of extreme suffering for patients and their loved ones in which it ought to be considered legal. In order to lessen the psychological and financial toll on patients and caregivers.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

Mercy killing has recently been the subject of numerous pieces in the media. And is currently a popular topic of discussion. Few people support legalizing euthanasia, despite the fact that many people are opposed to such a horrifying practice. And because I believe there are many ethical problems in this field, I am forced to entirely disagree with the presented idea.

And first mainly, there is a good likelihood that this method will be abused. When a person's condition is catastrophic owing to a serious illness. And no other treatments are effective in helping them return to normal life, euthanasia should be performed. For example, a person who has suffered serious burns is in a serious condition and is not responding to any painkillers or other drugs. However, if legalization occurs, it becomes a widespread practice among medical professionals. And any patient can be exposed to such a technique for unjustified reasons.

The idea of mercy killing scares a lot of people because it is such a terrible deed. They reject the legalization of euthanasia because they associate it with cases of suicidal people and are concerned about its improper use. Euthanasia is also a therapeutic treatment procedure that is severely regulated in religious nations. Like the USA and the United Arab Emirates because it is inhumane.

Second, family members or other close relations typically grant the approval for euthanasia rather than the patients themselves. Whether the patient preferred it or not becomes a major question in light of this. For instance, in circumstances of inheritance litigation involving a family member who is terminally sick. Relatives may procure an illegal document authorizing mercy killing.

Considering the numerous ethical problems with the death of a person, it may be concluded that only a small fraction of people are in favor of such notions. And I firmly believe that before legalizing compassion killing, these issues must be resolved.

Band 9 IELTS Essay

Mercy killing has undoubtedly been a contentious issue for many years. But many people disagree with the practice, and there is a growing call for euthanasia legislation. I wholeheartedly concur that mercy killing should be outlawed by the government.

On one hand, some people who are terminally ill still recover. Modern technologies are now more prevalent than ever before, helping researchers discover treatments for fatal diseases. According to me, the government must invest in medication in order to discover long-lasting products or medications. As a result, people can be treated with the new tablets rather than being put to death. Additionally, I believe that doctors always prefer to use the simplest answer, which is euthanasia, if they do not try to find new ones.

On the other hand, before beginning their careers, all doctors swear an oath. They violate their oath by approving euthanasia. One of the doctors' commitments is that they won't hurt patients who are recovering from illness. Therefore, mercy killing is illegal for this reason.

On the other hand, others claim that people who experience excruciating pain would sooner die than put up with it. Some folks are unable to handle more intense discomfort. If mercy killing is prohibited, they search for alternatives to alleviate the suffering. People who suffer from chronic ailments may commit suicide if doctors are unable to find a cure. Therefore, some people favor euthanasia legislation.

Compared to any valuable possessions, living is the most priceless asset. Human life can only be taken by God. After discussing the most important aspects of the matter. I personally support the former point of view and concur with the idea that mercy killing can be made legal. In order to lessen the psychological and financial toll on patients and their loved ones. Furthermore, rigorous government actions can stop the improper use of euthanasia.

In conclusion, I believe that suicide should not be legalized. In the opinion of the majority of doctors, physician assisted suicide is the best method. To handle a situation rather than conducting research and developing new treatments.
