Establishing Good Relationships in The Workplace is Not Important IELTS Writing Task 2 model answers have been given below. Healthy competition is the one thing that drives everyone to achieve their goal. In every space of life, it is good to have such competition. This comes when you build a relationship or bond with that person. Establishing good relationships at the workspace not only helps to focus on work but also makes the workplace beautiful. In this topic, we will discuss if this is correct or not. 

In an organization, when the employees are happy, they can work more efficiently and effectively. Companies should understand that employees are the most valuable assets of the organization. If they are not happy or satisfied, it could lead to the downfall of the whole company. For this maintaining good relationships in the workplace is important. People might say that we are working to earn money, why waste time on friendships? The answer is that a friendly atmosphere at the workplace improves our confidence level. Statistics reveal that more satisfied and confident employees boost the revenue of the company. Not only that, a good relationship between employees helps to improve the mentality. People become more mature as they learn from others. You can learn many skills from your colleagues as well and people who are always open to conversations. Friendly relations here don't mean that you start interfering in their personal lives. It's just a way by which you get to know your colleagues like helping them if they're facing any problem, asking for their help, or communicating about your personal lives and issues if you want to. This will help you in terms of knowing who you are working with and also, you can focus on your own work in a good mood. Let's take an example, suppose you are working in XYZ company as an employee, and you find some difficulty in operating the latest computer. Now, if you are on friendly terms with other employees, you can ask for their help and complete your task on time, otherwise, it will not.

I believe that organizational friendships are important to progress in life. One cannot move ahead in life alone. The people surrounding them must take a part in the progress.

It is crucial to establish good and friendly relationships in your workplace because it helps you to relieve your stress, and tension and you can do your task diligently and on time.

Human life is full of stress, we all are tense about different things, some people are tense about money, some people want to buy a new house and someone is stressed about their relationship. All we need is someone with whom we can share these problems. I agree that sharing will not automatically eliminate the problems, but it can reduce stress to some extent. We spend most of our time in our offices, sitting on chairs and working among our colleagues. When we are on friendly terms with our fellow employees, we can share our problems with them, be they work-related problems or personal problems. This will make you feel less burdened and you can complete your tasks with full enthusiasm. Having an office buddy is a blessing as you have a lot to talk to them about, you can even hang out after office hours with them if you want. Some people often think that work should be a priority in an organization, and everyone else is just a waste of time, but no, it's not. Productivity depends on how efficiently our employees are working and they can act efficiently only when they are skilled at their job and also, happy and satisfied with the working conditions. An unhappy employee cannot contribute to his full potential for the company. Organizations should organize functions and programs where employees can communicate with each other and understand each other in a better way. Parties and other get-together activities will improve the relations between the employees and they will feel more comfortable while working together. There are many companies that provide such facilities but there are some others who have adopted a very toxic culture, where the seniors refuse to interact with the employees and there are no friendly relations between the employees. Such organizations will find it difficult to survive in the long term as employees aren't happy here.

Employees are the foundation of any organization, if they're happy and satisfied, the company will run smoothly but if they're always stressed. Productivity will suffer. It is very important to establish a good relationship with your colleagues because they can help you to get through some of the hardest times of your career.

A person who never indulges in conversations or who just doesn't talk to his colleagues will find himself alone when there's some problem but if you are someone who knows a lot of people in the company and some of them are even your friends, they can guide you and motivate you to solve the problems even it's a minor one, as soon as possible. It doesn't mean that you have to make lots and lots of friends, it means you should be on friendly terms with the employees, don't act rude towards them and try to know them in a better manner. There's a saying that "Friends make the hardest times easier" which is very true, you need acquaintances who will encourage you to never give up on your goals. Good communication with your peers is very crucial for people, especially those who are new to the work, they will give you proper guidance and can even help you to clear obstacles for your future. Organizational goals are very important and yes, employees should focus on them but focusing only on the goals of the company can not enhance the efficiency of the employees if they never get the chance to speak to each other. A company that cares for its employees will always motivate employees to talk, express their opinions and also, and understand each other. Office parties and gatherings are an important way to get to know your colleagues. Whenever you get the chance, try to engage in conversations and establish some good relationships in your office. You don't have to be a complete extrovert to make friends, just talk to people, be a good listener and express your opinion on what you think of whatever topic they're talking about.
