Band 6 IELTS Essay

As has been seen in today's generation, the majority of the population throughout the world speaks English. I disagree with the statement above that English ought to be the primary language taught throughout all schools worldwide. It is stated that we all speak the same native language in our nation. In the following lines, I shall clarify both points of view in this article.

On the one hand, it has been noticed that the English language is spoken by millions of people worldwide. There are several news stations, sports commentary, and commercials in English. One should always study English as their first language since it may be beneficial in a variety of ways. For example, if a Spaniard travels to the United States of America and does not speak English, he may have various difficulties, such as requesting directions to his hotel or purchasing items from a local store. Furthermore, if we choose to continue our studies in Canada, the United States, Australia, or the United Kingdom, we must be fluent in English because English is the primary language in those countries. As a result, it is suggested that English be taught as a primary language in all schools.

On the other hand, it has been claimed that learning English is a waste of time since we would never use it. Many countries, including Germany, Spain, Japan, and China, do not speak English as their primary language. Because these countries do business in their native tongue. Furthermore, German, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese are not used in any other country but their own. For instance, if we have a Chinese client who has given business to an Indian, it will be quite difficult for an Indian to communicate in Chinese. As a result, they do not preserve English as their first language since children might become confused between their original language and English.

To summarize, I believe that English should not be taught as a primary language in every school, but that schools should take the initiative to teach basic English. So that any future youngster would not experience any difficulty if he travels to another nation where English is the first language.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

There is a belief that English should be prioritized in terms of studying foreign languages all over the world, and that taking classes for other languages before English is a waste of time in today's society. I absolutely agree with this concept for a variety of reasons.

To begin with, English has been the most important language in the world for many years and has controlled a variety of industries. In other words, studying this language as a second language may open up numerous doors to diverse professions like education and business. To demonstrate, a researcher who wishes to investigate a topic must identify previous probes done by investigators in order to move laboriously by leveraging previous data. That is, if he or she did not know English, he or she would be unable to access adequate resources. As a result, studying English as a second language is the primary means to participate in global society.

On the other hand, while learning English should be a priority, there are other languages that are important for further research, such as French and German. Learning these languages not only assures the capacity to look for scientific regions, but also provides the possibility to come near to art. For example, it is well known that many films, poems, and books have been published in French, and if an average person can master this language, he or she may also understand works of art made in French. However, mastering foreign languages other than English does not provide access to all opportunities. Thus, studying English is advantageous because all fields do their business in English.

To summarize, while studying languages other than English, such as German and French, might help you get closer in a variety of professions such as art and science, English has a major impact on all of the previously listed areas. As a result, I believe that attending a class to learn a foreign language other than English as a first step is a waste of time.

Band 8 IELTS Essay

English is the world's most frequently spoken language. It has grown in popularity in many countries and has become an international language. Other languages, such as German, Spanish, and French, can, nevertheless, be taught at schools and universities in a variety of countries. Giving other foreign languages precedence over English at colleges, in my opinion, is a bad idea.

Over the last decade, many people from all cultures and nations have followed the trend of studying and traveling overseas. Many others prefer to start their careers there as well. They must now comprehend and speak English fluently. It will assist them to speak with others, and they will have a greater possibility to extend their industries at the expo. English is required for everything from academic performance to improve presentation skills, from greater persuasion to crucial worldwide meetings and conventions. Second language knowledge is vital, but none of them excels in understanding English, which is why schools must prioritize English above other foreign languages.

Learning English as a second language is necessary nowadays since people all over the world understand English. It makes visiting any country more convenient for you. The information on the Internet is all in English. If you understand English, you will have more employment or study opportunities. Learning another language is only useful if you have a pastime or plan to visit that country. Aside from that, I strongly believe learning English is a necessity.

To summarize, learning English is more bearable than learning any other foreign language. As a result, teaching English as a second language and other languages should be prioritized in schools.
