Topic: In the modern world, many employees lack soft skills such as communication and working in teams. What are the main causes of this problem? What are the effects of lack of such skills?

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

Many workers today lack critical soft skills, such the ability to work in a team and communicate comfortably. I think that the sole recruiting method and the limited educational opportunities are the main culprits. But the absence of these encounters can also have an impact.

In the beginning, students struggle with a lack of soft skills. Because the majority of educational systems throughout various nations primarily contain curricula for academic purposes, expanding students' knowledge. As a consequence, a large percentage of kids are mainly concerned with getting good academics. Even though they may be attractive and perhaps have social anxiety. But we are all aware that this is insufficient to meet our needs. The second significant factor contributing to a lack of interpersonal skills is the hiring process. Including interview processes that do not accurately assess potential employees' talents. As an illustration, a person with extensive expertise who never contributes to team brainstorming sessions. Or assisting others can nonetheless complete the work properly.

The first issue's main impact can be that employees don't hear others and are unable to cooperate. Focusing exclusively on their own tasks and the situation from one side. However, few of them realize that interaction is also a crucial aspect of their jobs and that computers may easily take their place.

However, the recruiting process is another factor that contributes to the poor quality of coworking, in addition to the schooling system. Many employers have lost excellent workers as a result of poor hiring practices. A few steps could be taken in the process to address this, such as having future employees work in teams to execute challenging tasks. However, without these skills, employees can struggle to work in pairs. Form partnerships with other businesses, or even run out of topics to discuss during lunch.

In conclusion, personal attributes are becoming even more crucial in today's workplace and may surpass technical capabilities in importance in the future. People would be fired from all of their occupations if they were unable to communicate and were socially sensitive. Because of the significant advancements in digital technology, artificial intelligence has already replaced many employers.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay

It is well recognized that the majority of employees lack soft skills like teamwork and effective communication. Which are necessary for employment in the modern world. I'll go over the primary reasons for this and its potential implications in the essay that follows.

There are a number of reasons why this issue has become more serious and is having an impact on jobs. The main cause of this issue is unbalanced schooling. This is due to the fact that the majority of students in schools place a heavy emphasis on academic study. Which makes them less interested in extracurricular activities and prevents them from developing teamwork and communication skills. Another reason for this is that some modern individuals lack these skills due to the influence of their parents. One explanation for this is because most parents are too busy to give their kids a commuting environment. Which prevents them from developing soft skills like communicating in the workplace. Finally, due to current Covid regulations, people would lack communication skills if they worked from home.

The absence of abilities like communication and teamwork will almost certainly have a number of negative impacts. The fact that persons with poor social skills are confused and experience difficulties in the job market may be even more relevant than this. Additionally, a lot of workers, especially those in positions, fail to interact with other workers because they lack communication skills. The cause of this is because those who lacked these abilities spent their childhoods in seclusion. Additionally, it is indicated that employees who lack teamwork abilities struggle to work effectively with their coworkers.

Considering everything, it's probable that these childhood causes result in a lack of abilities including such communication. And teamwork, which leads to difficulties and alienation from other coworkers in the workplace. All of these factors contribute to a loss of communication skills, avoiding face-to-face interactions, and a lack of desire for and aptitude for teamwork. Employees will likely experience increased adaptation challenges. Frequent tension brought on by speaking with coworkers, worry, and reluctance to report to work.

Band 8.5 IELTS Essay

Since the use of technology has expanded, there have been many modifications in interpretation skills. Just as in leadership we follow some stages and in group discussion do some other steps, communication skills play an important part in today's environment. Without effective public speaking, a person cannot survive in the market. I'll go into the issues of not possessing public addressing in the paragraph that follows.

To begin with, there has been an absence of knowledge of how to effectively work in a team. And communicate with teammates for any assistance or any suggestions. This is something that must be taught in schools or colleges. So that students can learn how to handle a variety of situations, such as business-related subjects. The staff should add a course on group collaboration and business communication to the curriculum. As they don't currently teach it in order to ensure that students are successful in these colleges.

Due to fewer interactions occurring in that year as a result of the pandemic, people became accustomed to technology. Like Google, which made them use it excessively, and they became reliant on smartphones and laptops. As a result, they lost a few experiences working in clubs, attending meetings, and giving speeches. The use of the internet to answer questions has also increased, and working from home has made employees task individually rather than as part of a group.

Industry restructuring, which started many years ago, now includes automating production, reducing the role of the individual. And introducing computer technologies. Every employee has a certain job duty and role. And frequently, employees can resolve any issue by calling or sending an email instead of speaking with a coworker.

To sum up, people need to speak fluently in front of a mirror and learn how to complete tasks in groups. Additionally, schools need to teach students how to complete projects in a team by assigning them tasks in teams. If they want to ensure that employees have good interpersonal skills without any barriers.
