Topic: Education should be accessible to people of all economic backgrounds. All levels of education, from primary school to tertiary school should be free. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model Answer 1

The disparity in education has eroded society in such a way that certain sections of it are literate while others have remained illiterate. For generations there has been such a divide between the rich and the poor that has somewhat made the education system to be at a flaw. Communities that have not been able to receive proper education have indulged in morally unethical activities. There is a strong need to reform the education sector.
I believe that equal education should be given to all sections of the society. If it entails providing free education from primary to tertiary it is quite justified. Poverty is the driving factor of many young children dropping out of school, taking up menial jobs to provide to their family. Thus, free education is necessary in such cases. The lack of education causes students to indulge in unethical activities, be influenced by delinquent peers and not differentiate between right and wrong.
The weaker section of the society must be provided free education until graduation. There are so many children that have enough talent to supersede and excel in different areas. They must be given a chance to prove themselves and should not be left behind due to monetary issues. Schools should give attention to each and every student equally barring their family income. Teachers must motivate these children to excel and bring them at par with the privileged children.
This will bridge the gap between the rich and the poor. I believe education is the right of every individual and weaker sections of the society should not be hindered to pursue their dreams. Government should work on providing free education to such classes of society. In return it will increase the literacy rate of the country and simultaneously lead to economic development.

Model Answer 2

I strongly believe that education is the right of every individual and issues. Like family income, caste, creed and socio-economic status should not restrict anyone from being educated. The question whether education must be free from primary to tertiary for people of all economic backgrounds holds people in a divide. Some people are of the opinion that it is not justified to provide education to all economic backgrounds.
I do not concur with this as every individual has their own talent and skills. There are students out there who want to study, educate themselves and provide for their family.
Unfortunately unable to do so due to lack of funds. It is heartbreaking to witness individuals that are capable of so much more but are not given the right platform. I think providing free education to all economic backgrounds can lead to a development of a country.
Proper education entails so many intelligent minds working together for the betterment of the society. It can also subsequently decrease the crime rate. Children that do not receive proper education end up taking up menial jobs or indulge activities that could help them earn more money. The urge to earn money and provide for their families forces them to be a part of morally unethical activities, and thus ending up in jail. One of the reasons why the crime rate in any country is higher is due to the disparity between the rich and the poor.
If we can somehow divide this gap, the world would become a better place to live. Large companies require companies that hold a degree, so why not give individuals of all backgrounds a chance to attain it and lead a better life. Moreover, a more educated workforce of a country increases the literacy rate. It further leads to the economic development of the county. India can achieve its status of a developed country if it works on enhancing and tweaking its education system for the better. Thus, I strongly agree that free education to all people of all economic backgrounds must be free.

Model Answer 3

Living in a democratic country, I believe entails education as the paramount right of every individual. A proper education is what makes a country more powerful. India being a developing country has many flaws. For example the education system of the country is flawed to no extent. There are some sections of the society that are not receiving proper education. Several schemes have been laid out by the government, but a proper monitoring of the same is also required.
Schools in villages might teach students at the lowest cost possible, but is the government really monitoring the quality of education? Teachers in some schools are not paying attention to the children. They are being taught the wrong things thereby hindering the development of the students. A free education system can curtail this problem. Students with low family income should also get an opportunity to study at some of the esteemed schools and be at par with the privileged children.
When students will be exposed to the right environment there is no stopping them from excelling. There are young people out there who want to study but are held back because they cannot afford the particular high-fee school or college. The government is creating numerous job opportunities for individuals but are these menial jobs enough to look after one’s family. Why can we not provide a free education system so that every individual gets a chance to fight the competition and come out of the shackles of poverty.
Reputed companies wouldn’t hire candidates without a degree. Thus, simply restricting people's right to education due to their lack of income doesn’t seem justified. Talks about equality can never manifest if every individual is not given an equal chance to do their best. There are hidden gems in our society and I believe they can thrive if given the right platform. Education is the premise of progress in every society and family. Thus, I completely concur that free education is a must. It is undoubtedly the backbone of any developed country.
