Driving Age Should be Increased to 25 IELTS Writing Task 2 consists of three sample answers provided below. Most of the countries allow people of 18 years of age to start driving a car. While other countries are of the opinion that this age should be extended upto 25 years. Both the views have their negative as well as positive point of views. I will discuss both the views in this essay. And will reach a reasonable conclusion.
According to most of the countries 18 years of age is suitable for driving. Because 18 years of age is considered to be an adult age. Where maturity is developed and reflexes are developed as well. Alcohol consumption and democratic right of votes are a few to name, which are given after 18 years. Also, this is the age when a person is fully aware of the right and wrong decisions. It is the realization of age. One understands the responsibilities and duties. During this age many youngsters are seen actively contributing to the development of the country. Driving is important to carry out everyday tasks. It also enables a person to be independent. Learning to drive at this age is easy as compared to earlier ages. The application for license is also provided after 18 years of age.
On the other hand, most of the countries want this age to be extended upto 25 years. They are of the opinion that 18 years of age is the adrenaline rush age. Youngsters might get influenced by the adrenaline rush. Youngsters consider stunts to be a fun prospect. Many researches and surveys have shown that most bike accidents take place through youngsters. They might get influenced by a bad community and start driving and drinking. Alcohol might be another reason for rash driving and accidents. While at the age of 25 a person is fully matured. He/she is aware of the consequences of action. A person is more focused on practical things rather than show off.
To conclude, youngsters of 18 years of age must be given driving rights. But there should be few restrictions imposed for the same. The most suitable age for driving would be 25 years of age.

Driving age for any person is considered 18 years. Most of the countries consider it as the suitable age to start driving. While for others, 25 years of age should be accepted for driving. The former point of view suggests that youngsters should be provided with a sense of independence. At this age, there are many studies and college trips one needs to do. So, in such a case knowing how to drive will ease the cost of transportation. Also, it boosts the confidence of the student. They also can get rid of their road fear. It is considered an age when a teenager becomes biologically mature. He/she gets fully developed in terms of reflexes.
But one cannot ignore the fact that this is the adrenaline age. Students might get addicted to alcohol. Which will affect their driving skills. They might get into a high speed rush and accidents can take place. In such an age, consequences are not considered. Only, action is focused. Getting influenced by people can also become another reason for accidents. Nowadays, so i'm media has become a good as well as bad influencer. Just to follow the trend or get famous people perform various stunts. In a country like India, where roads are shabby and full of hassles. It becomes quite easy to get into a clash of vehicles.
To conclude, youngsters must be given the right to drive. They should be allowed to issue a driving license and start driving. Accidents can be avoided by enforcing strict laws and regulations. The age of 25 will restrict freedom and independence. It will also become a hurdle in the skill learning of teenagers. There should be strict regulations on alcohol consumption. As the government has allowed above 18 years to drink alcohol. This age should be extended further. Because after 20 years of age one learns to control the desires. One focuses more on consequences rather than actions.

Many people are of the opinion that driving at the age of 18 is not rational. It should be extended upto 25 years of age. There are many advantages of driving at the age of 18 but also have many disadvantages. This essay supports the latter point of view. The driving age of 18 is impractical. However, it provides a sense of independence and freedom. It also becomes easy for youngsters to go to colleges and institutions. It saves the cost of public transportation. Many household tasks become easy when one knows how to drive. But many changes take place internally in such an age. The amount of adrenaline increases. It influences a person to make rash decisions. Many youngsters are often seen getting into a vehicle clash. It is because they are unaware of the high speed consequences. They are more focused on fun and entertainment.
While the age of 25 is considered to be the age of maturity. People of such age are more likely to ensure safety and precautions. They avoid drinking while driving. Also, they get involved into a family. That ensures that they avoid rash decisions which will indirectly affect their family. They are more likely to worry about their family and themselves. They are more mature and have experience.
To conclude, youngsters should not be given rights of driving. They should not be allowed to use alcohol and drive. The driving age should be fixed at 25 years. Also, there should be strict rules and laws for the breaking of driving age. The driving schools should be guided with non acceptance of youngsters. Also, the parents should be aware of their children and their acts. They should be made aware of the demerits of driving at such a young age. There should be proper implementation and check on such regulations.
