Band 8 IELTS Essay

The approach to learning techniques has been different for several generations. Learning techniques have been a subject of debate for generations. Various teachers have different opinions on the subject of group learning. The kids can be perplexed about which approach to take for better outcomes as a result of this. Both strategies have advantages and disadvantages of their own. The greatest individual to determine which strategy is most beneficial to them is the learner. The competitive and positive atmosphere that group study produces inspires the students. Students have the chance to teach others what they know and to learn from others. The students benefit greatly from this because they are learning from someone of their own age and temperament. The explanation provided by a group member may make the concepts that initially looked difficult. Student confidence is boosted by group instruction. Student B became more confident in Student A as a result of Student A's persuasive explanation of a concept. Additionally, Student B will experience relief from having learned what previously thought to be beyond his comprehension. It is simpler to remember the answers in the exam room because they are familiar with every concept. Students are accountable for their grades when they learn alone, on the other hand. They develop a worry that they must finish the curriculum on their own within the allotted time as a result of this. They have the freedom to decide for themselves what order to learn things in. Student A, for instance, might wish to finish reviewing his math classes first because they might be more challenging for him. They are better at focusing. Students can begin learning at their own discretion. They don't have to wait for everyone to join the group. When students disagree in the group about how well they comprehend a concept, it can be detrimental to the learning environment. Such dangers are absent from individual learning. In conclusion, both approaches offer advantages and disadvantages. I agree that personalised learning approaches provide the student with a choice over his study space. Group study, however, is more effective. Stress is reduced by group study, and because knowledge is shared, pupils gain more self-assurance.

Band 7 IELTS Essay

The structure of studying that is followed by students is greatly influenced by professional teachers. The mode of learning selected divides individuals into two segments. The first one includes students who prefer group study and the second one is those who prefer individual studies. Isolated form of studies has its own advantages and so do group studies. They also have disadvantages of their own.
The most used style has been individual learning which has been widely followed by the current and the previous generations. This particular form of study involves book learning with minimal to zero help from others. Such forms of studies are very fit for the students who desire full concentration on studies. Due to the absence of any kind of disturbance or interference, an individual can take full advantage of their time and mental energy.
In contrast, there are multiple merits for group studies also. This has made group studies one of the most followed structures in the modern education system. The key benefit of group studies is the ease and convenience enjoyed in solving doubts or understanding tricky concepts. As this involves the students' own peers, it becomes more competitive and fun for them. For example, if a student is unable to solve a tough mathematics problem, they can simply refer to their friend. They can also refer to any other group member’s solution and move along to the next question. Such facilities are exclusively available to students when they are studying with a group.
Finally, I would like to conclude by saying that, objectively, both these techniques of academic learning have their benefits. The choice of either one will be entirely dependent on individual bias.

Band 6.5 IELTS Essay

With time, the complexity and methodology of education have changed. The approach with which students look at studying is divided into 2 genres. The first one is individual studies where the students can study on their own. The second one is the group study which is conducted in groups with peers. Both techniques have their benefits and drawbacks. In this topic, we will discuss both topics.
The individual form of study helps students to concentrate more without any distractions. This method involved learning from books without help or discussion from others. This was usually the most followed form of study. This type of study is beneficial for students who desire full concentration. Students who love to learn on their own will find this method very effective. However, as it does not involve anyone else, it is difficult for students to clear doubts while studying.
On the other hand, there are multiple benefits and drawbacks of group studies also. In this genre of study, students get help from their peers. This also creates a competitive nature among students which leads them to learn more. This has become the most followed process in the modern academic section of society. For example, if a student is unable to solve a tough physics question, they can simply refer to their friend. It is also helpful to check other group members’ solutions and move along to the next question. Such facilities are exclusively available to students when they are studying with a group. Group studies also have their disadvantages. Most of the time, students are unable to concentrate or focus on their studies. Due to this, some people always score lower marks in examinations. Teenagers usually do not discuss studies in groups, except a very few.
Both these techniques of academic learning have their benefits and drawbacks. It is solely up to the students to bring out the best in them from their studies.
