Where was it?
We create a lot of memories that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. No matter how many new memories are created, I will always treasure the one from my first day of school. It was situated outside of Kochi. The Vivekananda Kendriya Vidyalaya was the institution's name.
What happened?
I had transferred from the coast guard kindergarten. I vividly remember my mother holding my hand and dropping me off in my 1st-grade classroom where I was greeted by an old and fragile lady who held my hand and introduced me to my class. I was incredibly nervous and scared to even make eye contact with anyone else. I was really sad to have changed my school and deeply missed my friends with whom I played day and night. My teacher then made me sit next to a fellow student named Arjun, he was very welcoming and if not for him I would not have been able to talk to any of my classmates.
Explain how you felt on that day?
I made many new friends and got exposed to various games and we all had a ton of fun together. The teachers were extremely nice and helped me in every way possible. I was then given a tour of the school during which my teacher asked me to take along a friend and I took Arjun along with me. He was incredibly happy and rejoiced at this moment. The teacher showed us the various playgrounds and then the computer lab which intrigued my interest in computer science. He then took us to the school auditorium and the school aquarium, which was filled with the most beautiful fishes that I had ever seen. It was an amazing experience and made me feel extremely proud to be a part of this institution. At the end of the day, my father came to pick me up from school. The years went by like a breeze and I soon had to transfer to another school for my higher secondary education.

Where was it?
Because my father is a naval engineer, I spent my entire school career studying at far too many institutions. Many port cities in India were where we were dispatched. I'll be discussing a special incident that happened when I transferred to Navy Children's School in Visakhapatnam for fourth grade. It was situated in Visakhapatnam on top of a hill in a defensive outpost that gave me the impression that I was a small frog in a big lake.
What happened?
This was my first time in a navy school and it was the most unalike experience I ever had. My father had come to drop me at school, as we neared the school’s main gate, our car was thoroughly checked by the defense guards. They opened our car trunk and then verified both my and my father’s identity. We then slowly approached the school and I was extremely excited to meet and make new friends. Seeing my excitement my father decided to let me take the tour of the school the moment we arrived. The school was extremely big and filled with many parks and playgrounds. We even had a museum for the Indian navy. We then headed towards the reception where I was met by my vice principal. She had a brisk talk with my father and then she led the way toward my new class.
Explain how you felt on that day?
I was incredibly nervous yet very excited to meet new people. I entered the class and then introduced myself and while I was speaking, I noticed one of my friends from kindergarten. After the introduction, I immediately sat next to him and we spoke a lot. He introduced me to his friends and we then eventually formed an everlasting group. I studied in this school for the next five years and till my Eight grade after which we had to shift again to another city. The group we made has lasted to date and we try our best to reunite at any given opportunity.

Where was it?
We all have fond memories of our school days. We didn't have any worries about our lives, our families, or anything else spiritual as we went to school. We felt most alive during these times. Global Public School was the name of my school. It was a school in Kochi's city centre. Although quite a distance from my house, the campus was incredibly lively.
What happened?
I do not recall precisely what happened on the first day of school, but I do recall my parents leaving me alone at school. My father drove me to school, held my hand, and dropped me off inside the classroom. I was not able to let go of his hand out of fear and anxiety. My father then scolded me and handed me over to the class teacher. The teacher was quite humble and friendly. She made sure to calm me down and help me settle in. I was sobbing uncontrollably since I had never spent a day without my parents. My instructor handed me a bar of chocolate to calm me down but I still felt incredibly nervous. I then approached my seat and decided to share the chocolate with my classmates. They were very happy and immediately befriended me. During the lunch hour, many of the students rushed toward me and tried to comfort me and befriend me.
Explain how you felt on that day?
I was really happy that everyone in my class was so welcoming. We all then played together and I was finally comfortable with this unfamiliar environment. The bell rang and the day ended, my mother came to pick me up and I was extremely happy to see her. This was my first day of school which I remember to date. I was a very nervous child from the beginning but due to the help of my teachers and friends who were very welcoming and kind, I was able to settle in quickly and start my school life without any trouble. I spent my entire school life in this particular school.
