What it looks like?

Kurtis is one of the most popular ethnic wear among women. They are stylish, comfortable, and versatile clothing options. Depending on the style, the Kurtis could be A-line, straight, Anarkali, flared, frock, etc. To top it, all off these are available in different lengths, including knee-length, calf-length even ankle-length Kurtis. The Kurtis are also available in different designs and fabrics. Cotton, silk, synthetic, and wool are some of the fabrics that are used to make Kurtis. I usually prefer wearing cotton Kurtis, as these are an excellent choice for the summer.

How often you wear it?

Also, these Kurtis expand a bit after the first wash, which makes them even more comfortable. Additionally, cotton embroidered Kurtis are best for occasions like weddings, or other festivities like Diwali, Holi, and so on. I usually pair the Kurti with tight-fit jeans, a palazzo, or trousers. Further, I wrap around a contrasting scarf with the Kurti. Besides being a comfortable piece of clothing it gives a sense of tradition. Kurtis are undoubtedly my go to attire on any occasion. Kurtis are best worn on special occasions, however, when paired with a salwar or trousers/pants these are also considered as formal pieces of clothing. Women usually prefer wearing a kurta set for interviews instead of other formal pieces of clothing. It is no exaggeration to say that Kurtis are the most obvious and comfortable piece of clothing choice for every woman.

I pair my T-shirts with jeans or trousers and sneakers. I would put on a jacket on cold days. Additionally, T-shirts are available in different designs, styles, and fitting including flared, skinny-fit, loose, and so on. I have been wearing the classic style of T-shirts since childhood. Of course, I had no knowledge of the different kinds of T-shirts at the time.

How often you wear it?

I do not prefer skinny T-shirts as these do not suit my body type. I love wearing flared or baggy T-shirts. I prefer to wear flared ones when I have to go to college and baggy ones for casual outings. At home, I wear a loose t-shirt with pajamas or shorts as these feel comfortable. There are also some T-shirt designs that have a Chinese collar. I usually wear these for an interview or any business or formal meeting. A simple T-shirt with jeans, I believe, works for everyone. When in confusion it is best to put on your favorite T-shirt with a pair of jeans and sneakers. As for me, it is no exaggeration to say that I wear T-shirts almost every day.

But not everyone is able to adjust to the ongoing trends. I find keeping up with the latest fashion trends somewhat tiring. If I had to pick a piece of clothing that I really love, it would be a long skirt. I do not think short skirts suit me as well as long skirts do. I remember as a child I used to wear skirts. It made me feel comfortable and I loved swirling around wearing a skirt. I believe I inculcated the love of skirts in my mom. Being a fashion enthusiast she encouraged me to and made me wear the different designs of long skirts. Even now, I ask my mother for fashion advice.

How often you wear it?

From pleated skirts, and flared to A-line skirts I have a collection of skirts all thanks to my mother. I usually pair these with a t-shirt or any kind of top whichever suits better with the style of the skirt. The best part is that the skirts are available in different materials like polyester linen, silk, cotton, and even denim. Being an office-goer I wear a pencil skirt paired with a formal shirt and heels during a formal or business meeting. During casual outings with friends or family, I like dressing in long flared, ruffled or flowy skirts. Pairing them with a t-shirt or a top along with comfortable flip-flops or sneakers works best for me. Undoubtedly, skirts are my favorite attire. Even though I do not follow the latest trends my mother keeps me up-to-date with the ongoing trends and also gives me styling tips. I do love styling my outfits as these are great ways to wear the same outfit in different ways. Surprisingly I love wearing a skirt even at home, whilst people prefer wearing cozy pajamas with t-shirts. It is thus, no exaggeration to say that long skirts are my go-to attire.
