Describe The Best Gift You Have Ever Received Cue Card

Who gave it to you?

It was the morning of my 18th birthday, and I woke up to a gift being placed on the bedside table. I quickly unwrapped it to find a new model of the OnePlus smartphone. It was new in the market and was popular for its uber-cool features. I was taken aback by their gesture, as it felt like a dream come true. I did not know who must have given that gift to me because it could have been my older brother or it could have been my parents. I was extremely surprised by the gift. 

When did you receive it?

I received it on my 18^th birthday. It was really special to me because I wanted that model of the phone since last two months. I was in dire need to get a smartphone to attend my online classes, manage my assessments, and communicate with my peers regarding my school work. Hence this gift was very precious to me. My parents were quick in realizing my discomfort and thought of getting me this gift.

Explain why it is the best gift you have ever received?

There was also a note attached to the box that contained a heartwarming message from my parents. It described all the wonderful moments I had spent with them. It made me nostalgic, and soon I was moved to tears. To date, I adore the gift I have received and will treasure them in the trove of my memories.

Who gave it to you?

For two reasons, I am envious of Europe and its people. First, they work less hours and enjoy more vacation time than us "American" people. Second (and I know many of my American compatriot citizens would "hate" me for saying this), they are perhaps more "clever" than American people in general, as Sean Jeffry, my long-time British buddy, has demonstrated by providing me such a gift that would put an American like me to shame.

When did you receive it?

It's a collection of some of the "American all-time movie hits," a present idea that I believe only a few few Americans could conceive of, even on the best of circumstances. To my knowledge, none of my American friends or family members have ever given this sort of present to anyone. After getting such a present, which also contained some of my favourite movies, I felt that I couldn't possible receive any greater gifts than this from a "foreigner buddy" who lives in a different continent in another part of the globe.

Explain why it is the best gift you have ever received?

I  feel like this was the nicest present I have ever received because my friend took a lot of his time and efforts to really be able in order to discover and compile the list of all the movies in Hollywood movie history. Furthermore, it takes a special friend and person to understand and remember his buddy's choice, whatever it may be, and my friend Sean demonstrated that he is precisely that sort of friend and person. Finally, I believe this to be the nicest gift I have ever gotten because it arrived when I least anticipated it.

Who gave it to you?

I had taken part in the spelling bee competition. It wasn’t my first time, but I had never got the opportunity to qualify for the final round. I was well equipped with the vocabulary and all my spellings and had prepared well for the competition. I was confident in my preparation this time.

When did you receive it?

The competition consisted of 3 rounds. I could ace the first two rounds quickly without any hindrance, but the last round was tricky. It tested the finalists on their fluency, pronunciation, and audio skills. I was careful and focused while it was my turn to attempt the questions.

Explain why it is the best gift you have ever received?

The results of the competition were announced by the panelists that consisted of notable literary artists. I was delighted at my win. I was awarded a cash prize of 1 Lakh along with other exciting offers and vouchers. One of the panelists rewarded me with a novel he had written, and he whispered that I was the first reader for his novel. The moment was overwhelming. There was an air of excitement all around me. Hence, this was one of the best gifts I have received in my life.
