Model Answer 1

Where did you get it?

I am not a gadget freak but own some basic instruments. Those include laptops, mobile, cameras,s and home theatres. I place a lot of value on the laptop I currently own. This is because it was bought with my own hard-earned money. It gives me great pride to boast about the laptop since I spent my first money from my paycheck on this laptop. It has no value. As if it were my own child, I give it the utmost attention. After detailed research, I got this laptop online from Flipkart. It is an Indian e-commerce website that sells all kinds of things.

How long have you had it?

I have been using a laptop for a decade. Before this, I used to use my father’s laptop. I could not get my hands on the laptop since my father used it for official work. I decided that day that I will buy a laptop of my own. I was so dedicated to this dream that I spend most of my salary buying a laptop. Now, I can use it whenever I feel like using it, I need not wait for anyone anymore.

What do you use it for?

I generally use the laptop for entertainment and personal work. I have another laptop that was provided by the office for official work. Before joining the job, I even used to play a few games like FIFA, KBC, etc on my father's laptop, but nowadays, I do not get time to play games on it. On weekends, I practice and study programming on my own laptop. I do not get much time to play games. However, I still love watching movies when I don't have that workload, at weekends.

Why is it important to you?

It is one of the first gadgets that are close to my heart. Since I bought the laptop from my first salary that was paid for my own hard work and efforts. I always tried to be independent and this was the first sign of that. It is also important for me because all of my personal work-related tasks happen on this laptop. More than being important, it is dear and very near to me.

Model Answer 2

Where did you get it?

Photography is my passion. I have a high craving for wildlife photography. Thus, it is well understood that I have a soft corner for my camera. It is a priceless possession among all the things I own.

How long have you had it?

I have grown this interest since I was a 16 years old child. Previously my father had bought me an ordinary camera with which I used to click random photos of the places I went. But it was the year 2013 when I went to Nainital, where I saw innumerable beautiful birds. It struck me then that this could be my passion, as I was constantly on a search for birds so that I could capture them in my old camera. After returning, in 2013 itself I pleaded with my father to buy me a DSLR camera so that I can proceed with this passion. From then on I have my camera, through the lens and the body got upgraded with time.

What do you use it for?

My camera is of immense use to me. I carry it wherever I go. I prefer to go to birding areas, and love to discover new birds, new species, and love to get mesmerized by their body colors. I also go for local birding. It is more like a refreshment for me. I do lots of safaris wherever possible because that is the only way to get the wild lives in their natural habitat. My parents also encourage me in this.

Why is it important to you?

Initially, my parents thought that wildlife photography is one of the many temporary cravings teenagers have. But with time, they understood my seriousness in this field and bought me whatever I demanded of this passion, and also gave me moral support. While I still aspire to follow my passion in photography, I have complete support from my parents. The camera has allowed me to see the world through different lenses and hence is important to me.

Model Answer 3

Where did you get it?

My scooter is something that is very important to me. I can part with anything but my scooty. I bought it from a local shop after innumerable hurdles. My parents were against it. I had to fight for it, for they thought I would not be able to ride a scooter on my own and suffer accidents. But somehow I convinced them that I will ride slowly and carefully. I assured them that I will maintain the speed limit and will take care of the safety measures that are ought to be taken.

How long have you had it?

I bought my scooter when I was just 18. I was waiting for this as I could only get a license when I am above 18. Two days after my 18th birthday, I started learning scooty and finally got my license on the first attempt itself. It was 9th November 2015, when my father gifted me the scooter. From then onwards, I possess that. I have changed the scooty models a few times within these years.

What do you use it for?

Now I use it to go to my tuition, or market place or for shopping. Sometimes, I also take my younger sister to the nearby children's park. I drive it very carefully. I am more concerned about my scooty than myself while driving. I feel very angry when someone puts a scratch on my scooty while overtaking me on the road.

Why is it important to you?

My scooty is my very first possession of the most valuable thing I have ever owned. I always wanted to ride my own scooty or bike because it made me happy. When my younger self used to go with my father for smaller rides at the market, I used to be very mesmerized by it. That fact that I learnt how to ride and secured a license in my first attempt, is what makes it important to me.
