What is it?

Today's company houses place a strong emphasis on offering items that are packed with features. There is a deterioration in quality as a result of this. My laptop was damaged last month when I was at work. I had to cover the cost of its repair even though it wasn't my fault.

How was it broken?

Our country was under lockdown as a consequence of the Corona Pandemic. I was forced to work from home since I had no other choice. We can operate comfortably on our beds at home while conducting business and studying. As I work primarily on my laptop. I began utilising it on my bed. My brother once broke my laptop by sitting on it while it was on the bed.

How did you get it repaired?

Getting the laptop fixed was a difficult effort for me because the administration had shut down the stores owing to the shutdown. I had made the decision to look for a provider who worked from home. I finally found a laptop repair specialist after making a tonne of calls and jumping from pillar to post. Fortunately, he was staying near my house. He spent more than five hours working hard to fix it. I had to pay 5,000 Rs out of my own pocket to fix it.

And how did you feel about it?

I exhaled a breath of relief when I was able to get the laptop functioning again. The damage is still evident, despite the fact that it functions perfectly. I still remember it for this reason. In order to prevent the laptop from seeming damaged, I have chosen to repair the outer surface.

Just now, the device ceased to function. The lights were not turned on when we flipped it. Our initial assumption was that the socket might be broken. We were able to use the socket when we plugged in another electronic gadget. The moment it happened, we were certain the machine was broken.

How was it broken?

Although I am unsure of the cause, I believe voltage fluctuation was to blame. A voltage change occurred in our neighbourhood as a result of the rather heavy rain. One of the machine's electronic circuits was presumably damaged by the fluctuation. The machine was under warranty because we had only recently bought it, just a few months before to that incident.

How did you get it repaired?

After we called the business, a technician visit was planned for our home. We were informed by the repairman that the main circuit was burned, but he was unsure of the exact cause. He informed us that the part had to be ordered because it was made to order, and when it arrived, he promised to come back and replace it. I had anticipated it would be simple, but it took a week. Corona caused delays in the delivery of goods.

How did you feel about it?

Breakdowns do occur with electronic equipment. Therefore, it wasn't a big deal. However, the amount of time we had to wait for it to be fixed was far longer than we had anticipated. Even though the repairman had told us it would take a while, he didn't anticipate it would take a full week. While we waited, the laundry continued to accumulate.
