Where you can eat it?

I have kept 2 days in a week where I try different varieties of foods. I have a bucket list of foods and the 1st one in the list is Srilankan style chicken Kebab. It is very different from the Kebabs that we usually have.

How you know about this food?

My friends staying in Colombo have always boasted how good the kebabs are. These Kebabs are deep fried in oil after the chicken is marinated in a batter made from different spices for a few hours. They serve it with onions and green chutney. The green chutney is a mixture of Pudina, coriander and green chillies grounded and mixed with yogurt.

And explain why you would like to try it?

The soft, juicy and tender chicken with a crisp fried outer layer is a dish that you can relish and enjoy with the sauce provided. I have always wanted to try this dish but have not got any chance yet. I will definitely try to get hands on this dish as soon as I can.

Where you can eat it?

It is a street food served in Thailand as a part of the community cuisine. I have seen this dish in various cooking contests hosted on television and it is very appealing. From the looks of it, it does not seem to be street food. This street food has acquired so much popularity and is so old, that it has gained its spot in a classic dish from Thailand.

How you know about this food?

The amalgamation of seafood, chicken, vegetables provides nutrition and a unique taste to the dish. The thin and fat rice noodles are also provided in the dish which adds texture and satisfies the hunger and taste.

And explain why you would like to try it?

I am planning to visit Thailand in the next few months and will definitely look for authentic pad thai. I have tried multiple cuisines all over the world but did not have a chance to have authentic pad thai. This is one thing that I have been craving for the last few years and the upcoming trip will definitely help me satisfy the urge to have this classic from Thailand.

Where you can eat it?

This is a very delicate and sophisticated dish to watch and eat. The hard top layer of sugar which covers the custard below like a shell needs to be broken with a spoon before eating. The cracking sound of the sugar layer breaking is like music to my ears. This is a renowned dessert in France. Thus, one can enjoy this delicacy by visiting France.

How you know about this food?

I have waited so long, it seems like an eternity. This dish came to my notice in a magazine and I was mesmerized by the looks of it. I started watching videos of the dish, the preparation etc and came to know it is a French classic dessert.

And explain why you would like to try it?

Its custard base is prepared and then the sugar coating. After that it is baked in an oven and it results in a brittle hard top layer which cracks when you tap with a spoon. Since then, I have been a fan of this and waiting for my turn in life to try the dish. I hope I will be able to visit a restaurant someday which makes authentic Crème brûlée.
