Model Answer 1

Who this person is?

I find myself lucky to have such great friends who are incredibly supportive, compassionate, and open-minded. It is very precious to have such a gift in my life. So, I always make an effort to be in touch with other people. One such person is my ex-boss, as well as my mentor – Nikita.

How you know him/her?

Boss and employee relationship is not sweet for most people. But somehow Nikita and I became friends naturally. We first met during my training course roughly 2 years ago, then Nikita was the quality manager and I was a trainee. Every concept, every rule, and every etiquette made by her just overwhelmed me and she easily became a patient teacher and a dedicated friend.

What you usually talk about?

Because of my health problem, I could not complete my training and had to leave that workplace. But, thanks to God that at the hard times we spent together, we became closer. Our conversations last ranging among family, career, happiness, etc. Nikita always gives me her valuable advice and emotional support whenever I need her. She always influences me to stay with the best people instead of a very well-known person. This is one of the million things I follow every day of my life.

And explain why you like talking to this person?

Though we’re no longer working together, our strong bond never becomes loose. We stay with each other in the loop where everything significantly happens and provide mutual support. Often we would meet over coffee or dinner to steal some free time from our busy schedules and every moment we spent together always taught me a lesson.

Model Answer 2

Who this person is?

Everyone understands the value of having supporting and empathetic friends, and I, of all people, know better than to take that for granted. That is why I constantly try to stay in touch with folks I have become close to, one of whom being my old friend Manash.

How you know him/her?

I met Manash while studying for my Master’s degree in Mexico. We shared a residence, although we originally met during our campus’s Orientation session. When we were waiting for the class to start, he introduced him self to me and struck up a conversation. We got to know each other then and got a like a house on fire. Manash is from Sri Lanka, and because we are both Asians, I felt more connected to him than to the other kids. He was meaningful to me since he was my first foreign-country buddy.

What you usually talk about?

We got closer throughout our year in Mexico, and our chats would linger for hours, covering topics ranging from family, job, and happiness to life's failures. I loved talking to him because he always gave me good advise and emotional support. When I was depressed after receiving a bad grade on a project, he was the one who stayed after class to guide me through all of my difficulties and give me the confidence to perform better the next time.

And explain why you like talking to this person?

He is one of the kindest men I have ever known, always eager to lend a helping hand to others and always there for me when I needed it. When I was unwell in Mexico, Mom spent the entire day purchasing supplies and preparing hot soup for me so that I could feel better as quickly as possible.
Even though we no longer see one other because we returned to our home country after graduation, our close friendship has remained. We keep each other updated on anything crucial that happens around us and offer mutual assistance when necessary.

Model Answer 3

Who this person is?

I like to talk with my friend Pooja. The word “energetic” I can only think of one. I met with her in my childhood when I used to go badminton coaching. She is one of the best badminton players as well as a good human being. Starting from sports to academics we share everything. Though we are very busy with our schedule, we met at least once a month and talked a lot.

How you know him/her?

She is one of the inspirations of my life. She taught me that lacking money can’t stop us. You can achieve money if you make your goal and continue to follow what gives you happiness, nothing can stop you. It’s all about if you can control your mind to be successful. I left badminton coaching due to study pressure, but she continued with excellence and dedication.

What you usually talk about?

Though she had her problem in family life. She won some national-level medals and established herself in the field of sports. Now she works as a coach for a sports academy. We do not belong to the same field but whenever I face any problem I contact her. We spent hours talking on the phone.

And explain why you like talking to this person?

During my training days, she helps me a lot to understand every shot. We have been with each other for 10 years. Whenever I feel depressed I talk with her. Besides being a sports person, she is very good at comedy so, my sorrow is like to have vanished while talking to her. She is a kind of a blessing in my life.
