Model Answer 1

Who you helped?

I have a hard time seeing people who are struggling and need support. I always make an effort to lend a hand whenever I can. I have had numerous opportunities to assist others throughout my life, and I have never turned them down. I once assisted a destitute person who had recently lost their house and was living on the streets.

How you helped them?

I was coming back home from the office and it was a cold night in the month of December. I saw the person sleeping on a thin mat by the side of the road on the footpath. He was shivering and I went to him and asked his name. His name was Nabin. I asked him why he was on the footpath and he explained that he was homeless and did not have a place to sleep. I asked him to come with me and asked him to sleep that night in my garage. I also provided warm blankets and the next day when he woke up, I provided him with a tent, a few blankets and pillows to sleep on. I also helped him with some money so that he can buy some food for himself.

Explain how this person reacted to your help?

The smile and the happiness that he expressed was all I needed to make me happy. He expressed contentment and satisfaction with the things I provided him. He thanked God for helping him out and he considered me sent by God.

Explain how you feel after helping this person?

However, the smile and happiness that I get from the person whom I have helped is priceless. I felt very happy by helping him. I feel meaningless and my life on this earth feels meaningless whenever I help someone. God never comes down to help us in fact they send someone to help us out in place of him. I don't just help to make others happy but also to make myself proud of myself. I always try to treat everyone as I treat myself.

Model Answer 2

Who you helped?

As the saying goes, "Reaching down and helping people up is the best exercise for the heart." I've learned throughout my life that helping others and relieving them of their suffering will make you feel the happiest you've ever felt. Be it someone from your family, your friends, or someone else entirely. I have currently assisted numerous individuals in whatever manner I could. But I can still clearly recall the day I came to my friend Ashok's aid when he needed it.

How you helped them?

He had gone through a very hard time as he lost his job during the pandemic. He was the sole earning member of the family and was under depression. I stayed with him for almost a month and looked for jobs everywhere. While staying with him, mentally and financially, I understood what it is like to lose a job and the family starts to crumble slowly. I looked for a job in my company and he got the job after a month of hardship and multiple interview rounds.

Explain how this person reacted to your help?

He was thankful to me and the happiness came back to the family. It was a sense of relief for me as well. I did not take this as a help but as a responsibility towards my friend. However, Ashok was always thanking me for the help and that I have been with him for the whole time.

Explain how you felt after helping this person?

I was just happy by the fact that he has a job and is earning to run the family now and was out of depression. I was happy that he is happy and his family members are happy. I just didn't help one person but along with him I helped his family members too. It was a proud moment for myself because I felt that I am capable of being good and spreading happiness. Happiness is all everyone wants and if one is capable of helping someone then the person should never step back when it comes to helping.

Model Answer 3

Who you helped?

One of the most significant and admirable things you can accomplish in life is to help others. "You have two hands, one to help yourself, the other to help others," goes a proverb. You find peace and joy in improving who you are in this world. When I once assisted a few unusual children residing in an orphanage close to my home, I felt great satisfaction.

How you helped them?

They do not have parents and the feeling of having a mother and a father has never been experienced by them. I wanted to help them as they do not live in a very good condition and are deprived of the worldly activities that we do. Hence, me and 2 of my friends arranged a camp for them and wanted them to feel the enjoyment that we do in the outside world. We arranged a few contests, arranged lunch and also provided them with winter garments and blankets.

Explain how this person reacted to your help?

We spent the whole day with the children and were mesmerised by seeing the smile on their faces. It was a small gesture towards them which made them very happy and a day to remember and cherish for the rest of our lives. They were amazed by the beauty of the outside world. Their eyes were no longer dull in fact their eyes shone brightly like stars. They were so happy that they were unable to express the gratitude and happiness they felt at that moment.

Explain how you felt after helping this person?

It was a heavenly feeling when we saw them enjoy the food, the games and the environment to their fullest. It was one of the best days in my life where I have understood the meaning of providing happiness to others. I was happy that I learnt something from them. I learnt to value what we have and respect what others have. I learnt to see the beauty and happiness even in the small things of life. To enjoy every moment we spend whether it's a bad one or a happy one.
