Topic: Describe an occasion or event when you were congratulated
Model Answer 1
What the occasion was?
I don't really remember the number of times when I was praised. This is mostly because I've continued to be more of an "under-achiever" throughout the years rather than a fearless and successful person. But I suppose that once, my good fortune also decided to shine upon me. Since, I was also given some form of acknowledgment and congratulations for something that I never believed I would ever be able to do.
When it was?
Yes, it is difficult to imagine that. Since I assisted my firm in cutting a significant amount of unneeded expenditures. However, I received congratulations from a group of individuals who had never taken me seriously before that happy time.
Who congratulated you and why?
Anyway, here's how the tale unfolded. I had just begun my position as a Jr. Accounting Analyst at a small electrical appliance manufacturing business five years prior. But the business was already having financial difficulties when I started working there. Of course, that wasn't really any of my business because, to be really honest, I was simply thrilled to have a job there. However, I could still sense the anxiety and agitation in and around the offices of my firm over the future of the business.
Explain how did this make you feel?
However, as we were all concerned about the direction of the business. The chairman of our firm summoned us to a conference and requested us to write some studies on how to reduce the high operating expenses. As a result, we all set to work researching the causes of these high expenses and writing reports on them. It was time to determine which report had the best ratings and comments after all the reports had been filed. To my amazement, I discovered that the comments and remarks that were made about my reports were the finest. The corporate board of directors even gave me a call at their office to congratulate me on the results.
Naturally, I was ecstatic and unable to express my feelings about the congratulations. After the board of directors of my firm congratulated me. I proceeded to thank them and, for the first time, I understood that I too had some nice potential for a great career ahead of me.

What the occasion was?
Everybody receives praise for the kind deeds they perform for others, for their outstanding accomplishments, or for their own exceptional character. When our debate team won the county/district title, it was one of those times when I received congratulations.
When it was?
It was 2001, and I was an eighth-grader. I actively engaged in our school's debate team and have competed in both solo and team debate events. The annual inter-school division/county level championship is regarded as a prominent event, and the championship game is carried on local radio and TV stations. Prior to 2001, our school had never been able to win the title, despite the fact that several of the debate teams competed all the way to the semifinals.
Who congratulated you and why?
The debate team I led this year won the championship, much to everyone's great surprise. The majority of those in our community who watched the championship on television were thrilled that we won and felt great pride in our accomplishment. More than 500 children, their parents, and members of the community were present during the event the school organised to congratulate us on our accomplishment.
Explain how did this make you feel?
As soon as everyone began praising me, I felt like I was floating through the air because I was so joyful, proud, and delighted about the event.
Throughout my life, I have been honoured and congratulated several times, but nothing compares to the thrill and delight I felt that day. People were standing up, clapping their hands, and waving as we passed through the lengthy line and headed for the stage. There were also our instructors, prominent local figures, senior government officials, and other notable residents. The event lasted for around two and a half hours, and we also received several presents and bouquets.

Well, there have been numerous situations during my life when my loved ones have complimented me, and in this article I'd like to tell you about one of them. My family, friends, and relatives once expressed their happiness for me when I received 87% in my 12th grade coursework. Here is a quick explanation.
I completed my 12th grade coursework around five years ago. SDS Senior Secondary School, Lopon, a reputable institution, was where I was attending classes. Each instructor there had a good education, and they made a sincere effort to make each pupil an expert in every area. Their techniques of instruction were fantastic.
When it was?
For the 10th and 12th grades, my school's instructors offered supplementary classes. They began teaching us more and more in the two months leading up to the final examinations in an effort to assist us get excellent grades. I had taken part in every final test at that point. In my 12th grade exams, I gave each one my utmost effort.
Who congratulated you and why?
The outcome was determined two months after the exams. The Punjab education board has been issuing the 10th and 12th grade results each year. I read the news of my result in the newspaper one and a half months after my 12th grade examinations. I had anxiety and melancholy.
Explain how did this make you feel?
The outcome was then made public online the next day. I nervously checked it. Fortunately, I completed the 12th grade with an average of 87% and an A+ in every subject. I was so happy. I informed my family and friends about this news. Everyone offered their congratulations on my achievement and inquired about a reward for such a wonderful experience.
I finally threw them a party. We had a great time. They once again praised me and thanked me for the celebration. This precious moment from my life is one I'll never forget.
