Where it is?

Today I am going to share an interesting public place that I love to visit, its Street View Café, in my hometown, Manali. The place is located in the center of the city and exhibits the scenic beauty of the town, the mountains and the not so busy streets of Manali.

How often you go there?

I usually visit the place with my friends to hang out and chill, but love to visit the place alone.

It very beautifully displays the modest and intricate culture of the whole town. The place is not always crowded; it is an excellent spot if one is seeking a break and would like to have the local cuisines of Manali.

What you do there?

If you are looking to taste Sidu, the famous street food of Manali then Street View Café is the most obvious recommendation of the locals here.The café is decorated in old, traditional Indian style with walls representing the famous Madhubani paintings and signature wooden craft of Manali. The café is open to the scenic beauty of Rohtang La, the view is mesmerizing and soothing that I can spend my entire day wandering and gazing at them.

Explain why you think it is interesting?

Me and my friends are often caught up in our studies and daily life that we barely get chance to spare to meet, therefore we land up at Street View Café, the café staff is so much used to us that they allow us to serve to the guests arriving at the café like we were staff members, this is fun and we love helping them.

The place has an interesting street side tea stall, which has been there since decades, the tea stall is owned by Shoiab Fakri, he is an old man about 60 and is helped by his son at the stall, the credit to the popularity of the café goes to stall of Shoiab dada, and the café owner too acknowledges it. People at the café are served tea prepared at Shoiab da’s stall, which makes the place lovelier.

I love the place; it has been part of my life now and holds beautiful memories of my life.

Today I am going to share an interesting public place that I love to visit, the Ghats of Varanasi, in the heart of my hometown, Varanasi. The city is located on the banks of river Ganga, the ghats exhibit the scenic beauty of the city, the river and the busy lives of Varanasi.

How often you go there?

I usually visit the place with my friends to hang out and chill, but love to visit the place with my family, it exhibits the modest and intricate culture of the whole town. The place is usually crowded in the evenings; it is an excellent spot if one is seeking a break and would like to have the local cuisines of Varanasi. You might find people of every age group here at ghats; from Sadhu’s to tourists and local people of the city.

What you do there?

If you are looking to taste the famous Banarasi paan, then the Ramchandra Chaurasia Tambul Bhandar is the perfect spot, they provide about a dozens of varieties of paan, famous celebrities like Shahrukh Khan too tasted the famous paan at Ramchandra Chaurasia’s.

Explain why you think it is interesting?

The ghats represent various traditions and history of Varanasi. Adjacent to the ghat is the famous Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple, this is the world famous temple of Lord Shiv, it is believed that he came here with Goddess Parvati and could not leave the place thereafter; we believe that he resides in every bit of the city.

Me and my friends whenever we get a chance we land up at Ghats. The boatmen are nice; they even allow us to go across the other side of the river for free.

You might find travelers from all over the world across the ghats in Varanasi; people come here with a faith to get rid of all their sins. Across the ghats, are various cafés and restaurants that provide various kinds of meals, one can taste cuisines from all over India here.

One can also get access to Boat ride at the ghat for a tour across all 88 ghats of Varanasi. I love my city, sitting at the ghats and watching the beautiful rituals provide happiness and peace, the city resides in the heart of every native. I believe Benaras is not just a place, it’s a feeling.

Today I am going to share an interesting public place that I love to visit, Madhuban CAFÉ in my hometown, Shimla. The place is located in the center of the city and shows the scenic beauty of the town, the mountains. I usually visit the place with my friends but love to visit the place alone. The place is not always crowded.

How often you go there?

If you are looking to taste Madra, the famous street food of Shimla then Madhuban CAFÉ is the perfect place to go.

The café is decorated in old, traditional Indian style with walls representing the famous Warli paintings and signature wooden craft of the Himachal. The café is open to the scenic beauty of Shaily Peak, the view is mesmerizing and soothing that I can spend my entire day wandering and gazing at peaks of the mountains.

What you do there?

I usually go to the Café with my friends and I have celebrated many birthdays here. The café staff is like a family. They allow us to serve the guests arriving at the café like we were staff members, this is fun and we love helping them. I visited the place first with my father, when I was six. Since then the place has been my hanging spot. I often complete my assignments sitting at the Café.

Explain why you think it is interesting?

The café owner reserves a place for me in advance on my request. He treats me like his daughter. Besides the Café is a beautiful Shiv temple, it is believed to be centuries old and preserves the history of my town. It will always be my favorite place as it holds many wonderful memories.
