The neighbor I really look up to is Mr. Arvind Mehra, a retired army man who happens to be my next door neighbor. Not just because of who he is, but who he becomes.

I have known him for almost ten years, since my family moved to this house. He welcomed us since the first day and has always been very helpful, making this neighborhood a home for us. He established a good rapport with us.

Mr. Mehra oozes discipline, time management, and an innate ability to organize things—a clear manifestation of his military days. However, beneath this organized façade beats a kind soul. He often recounts his tales of the days in the army, of how he faced many tricky situations and overcame them via sheer team work. Listening to what he has to say is always an engaging experience, as there is so much to learn with regard to courage, leadership, and love for the country.

What’s interesting about the man is the experience and knowledge he’s acquired over the years.
