Describe An Important Letter Or An Email You Wrote Cue Card

When you wrote it?

I wrote it around 3 months ago when I was looking for some part-time work in order to utilize my free time. I thought it would be best to go for an internship, where one can learn as well as earn a bit. It's better to go for something rather than spend time sitting idle.

What you wrote?

In the mail, I mentioned the reason behind selecting that company. The purpose of writing that mail was quite clear. I did not have much to do sitting at home. It was when the second lockdown began and my college classes were not taking place. The internship was for months and the stipend was also high.

Explain why you wrote that letter?

The most interesting fact was, I never knew that the company had a vacancy for the position I was applying for. One day as I was thinking about doing something, I just randomly mailed my resume to the company. Coincidentally, there was a requirement for the same. After this, I had an interview which I cleared, and am working with the company happily. I am quite satisfied with the decision made. Although it was luck by chance that I got into the company. But still, I believe that it was one of the great decisions of my life.

When you wrote it?

The letter was written when I was in class XI. We all thought that it was time to do something different. Something apart from regular studies that would be fun and beneficial at the same time.

What you wrote?

The letter was about the introduction of some extracurricular activities as well as some unique inter-school competitions like MUNs and Mock Parliament. We requested the principal to just give us the approval to conduct an inter-school MUN and we'll manage the rest of it. Fortunately, we did manage to receive a positive reply. The principal showed her trust in us and gave the approval and we went ahead planning the whole event. It was not an easy task for us. We had the whole responsibility of conducting a two-day event and that too at the interschool level, where it was about the reputation of our school.

Explain why you wrote that letter?

The reason for writing the letter was that we all wanted something new to happen in the school, to make it more happening. Moreover, to gain some more knowledge as well as make more memories. I still remember the kind of hype that was created as soon as we got the green signal. We used to miss our classes just to make the whole plan a success. Moreover, such events are a great way of boosting confidence and gaining knowledge. These events, even today, have great relevance in my life. They've been really helpful to me, whether it is building up your CV or your confidence. The whole team along with some teachers managed it quite well.

When you wrote it?

I generally don’t check my personal emails much since I am mostly checking my work emails. It was one weekend, and I was casually checking my personal emails and going through the important ones. Suddenly I came across one email with the subject head - ‘Your Old School Friend’. I was taken aback by an email with such a subject. I immediately opened the email, and to my surprise, it was a school friend of mine from junior school or second standard time. Her name is Jennifer. She used to be my best friend during that time but we lost contact when she left school the following year. Since there was not much usage of mobile phones, I couldn’t keep in contact with her. I tried searching for her while growing up but all in vain.

What you wrote?

Her mail made me very happy. The happiest part was, she found my email ID from the workplace. She also works in the same place but in different departments and cities. Since I am new to this workplace, we never had a chance of meeting.

Explain why you wrote that letter?

She told me how she would like to meet, and since we both worked in the same place it would be even easier to meet. I immediately replied back to her email. In fact, we are going to meet in the coming month. I told them how I searched for her on social media but couldn’t trace her. It was a very happy day for me as I got to connect with a very old friend of mine.
