Describe an Important Conversation that Influenced You Cue Card

How was he/she good at explaining?

He put all our questions to rest. He had interests outside of the fine arts, such as British economics and culture. He was an inspiration to me since he was so knowledgable and taught in a way that I can still clearly recall everything he covered in class. I was at a loss for what to write about when I wanted to publish a paper on fine arts because there were so many options.

Why am I influenced by his/her conversation?

He then provided me with a list of themes for the paper's publication. Some of them, such as "The Effect of Fairy Tales on Artists" and "Can Video Games Be Considered Fine Art?" were among those he listed. Additionally, he advised me to choose a small number of the subjects I was interested in, properly learn each one, and then choose the one I had a stronger preference for. He approached everything with a plan. I started looking into the subjects and discovered one that peaked my curiosity. I had to search through several websites until I found a topic that was supported.In addition, he showed me the value of conducting organised research, taking thorough notes, and creating thoughtful exam responses. During my time in college, interacting with him made me aware of my deficiencies in research work, writing helpful responses, and making notes that would be useful later. I continue to remember and occasionally use the extra advice he provided.

How was he/she good at explaining?

She did not reprimand me but instead asked me the reason why I wasn't attending the classes regularly. I honestly explained everything. She listened to me carefully. After listening to everything I had to say, she told me how important it was to study in today's world. Being knowledgeable can get us out of many difficult situations in life, thus it was not ideal to miss classes. She also told me how we can study and still enjoy it if we balance everything. I still remember the interaction that we had. She wasn't disappointed by my behaviour, instead understood what I was going through and suggested a solution. She stressed the importance of education and the negative impact of bunking classes.

Why am I influenced by his/her conversation?

I realised how hard I had to work to get into college, and how easily I was throwing it all away. After this long interaction with Mrs. Susan, I never missed out on any of my classes. I hung out with my friends after classes. My grades improved tremendously, and I was no longer lagging behind my grades. Students are usually disregarded for bunking classes, but she was the first person who did not admonish me for my actions and patiently explained what I was doing wrong. She somehow had a huge impact on me, and even after so many years, I owe her gratitude for the valuable lessons she taught me.

How was he/she good at explaining?

We chatted for hours. I inquired about how she was managing in the USA and was easy to sustain in a foreign land. She told me how excellent the studies were abroad, as the students had a lot of exposure, which is somewhat lacking in India. She also told me how initially she faced problems with her academics, and also it wasn't easy to mingle with people. I still remember how difficult it was for her to manage her expenses. But when she returned she explained how she started managing her finances.

Why am I influenced by his/her conversation?

She told me about the part-time job that she had taken up there to manage the extra expenses. She had taken up a job in a restaurant as a waitress. I was appalled by this, as earlier she was not as independent, but now I could see her personality completely changed. I was inspired by how she was managing everything and didn't ask her parents for a single penny, be it for her extra expenses, the academic fees, or the house rent. I was motivated after chatting with her and later tried to be more independent. Even now whenever we meet, I utterly thank her for the impact she made on me.
