  • Why you took this exam?

Model Answer 1:

What exam it was?

Exams are supposed to be challenging since their purpose is to gauge our "knowledge." However, certain tests are so challenging that we simply wish we could avoid them. I want to discuss one exam in particular that left me "shattered" for several months.

I had to pass a "math" exam in my school days a few years back in order to enroll in one of the most prominent high schools in my nation. I thus realised that it would be difficult to get into that specific high school because so many clever and intelligent high school kids from throughout the nation would be competing for those spots. Anyway, I spent a lot of time studying high school math, which contained a lot of difficult formulas and problems from algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, so I believed I was psychologically prepared for the exam.

When you took this exam?

I was given the test questions, and as soon as I got them, I started working on the answers. However, after I started responding to the questions, I realised that I was taking a little longer than normal to answer the majority of them for unexplainable reasons. When I discovered that the problems in the geometry portions were much harder than I had previously thought, I discovered even worse news. I thus started to feel a little anxious and finally decided to skip through most of the questions.

Why you took this exam?

However, the exam was challenging for me mostly because I struggled to effectively manage my time while responding to several of the questions. In addition, the majority of the geometry section's questions didn't quite follow the pattern of questions I was expecting for. Finally, I found it challenging as well since I began to feel anxious and found it difficult to maintain my concentration to comprehend the geometry section's problems.

Model Answer 2:

What exam it was?

Well, this is an issue worth talking about. This subject makes me think of the Saint Paul College admissions test I took in 2014. One of the most difficult tests I have ever had to take. I performed so poorly that I was terrified to see the outcome. In actuality, I did not look at my entrance exam results since I was aware of how terribly I had done.

In our nation, it is rather typical for colleges to have entrance exams each year to choose the students they would admit. One of the top five universities in our nation where I took the entrance exam was Saint Paul College. I arrived at the exam site 15 minutes late. I had a terrible time being late, and the college administration was hesitant to let me take the exam. However, they ultimately decided to let me in! I had already squandered a half-hour and was under a great deal of strain. I was horrified and stiffed as soon as I read the question paper because the majority of them didn't make any sense to me!

When you took this exam?

The organization that oversees college exams has modified their question format and placed more emphasis on history and writing ability than on math and other science courses! This struck me harder than before. Most of the questions I was unable to answer, therefore I was eager to leave the test room. It was an uncomfortable and confusing situation.

I was pleased when I left the college's boundary, which shows how shocked and horrified I was within the test room.

Why you took this exam?

I seem to remember that I didn't even go to get my results since I knew I would do horribly. I later received admission to Prime Science College. One of the hardest exams I've ever had to take was the one I had at Saint Paul College. It was made more challenging by the challenging traffic, arguing with the exam authorities, the unexpected question format, and my anxiousness.

Model Answer 3:

What exam it was?

I had to take the IELTS exam before being accepted to Columbia University in New York. I was unable to adequately study for the exam. As a result, I found it to be an extremely challenging test. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to speak with you about this subject and the time you gave me to do so.

The majority of American institutions often base admission decisions on the IELTS score. When someone has the right preparation, the IELTS exam, which is given by the IDP, is simple. However, without any planning, this is a pretty tough nut to crack! The writing and listening components in particular are challenging for first-timers.

When you took this exam?

Last year, I had to take the exam. In actuality, Columbia University's classes started in the second week of August. I hurried to take the admissions test. Candidates often practice a lot and prepare for the analytical, verbal, and quantitative reasoning portions of the exam. But for me, that was not the case.

I was required to take the exam since the Columbia University administration mandated that all postgraduate applicants must take the GRE and receive a score of at least 340 in order to be admitted to the university. The university administration would not even permit the pupils to submit their application for postgraduate entrance without the score.

Why you took this exam?

I discovered after I took the exam that the examination was really challenging for me. I wasn't ready for the exam. I initially thought the test was only for international students, but I subsequently learned that native students could also take it. The test takers who perform well on this exam are deemed prepared to enroll in postgraduate studies in the USA. Due to my final score being under 250, I was unable to apply to Columbia University at the time.
