Model Answer 1:

What the object is?

In our country, people usually transfer their family heirlooms to younger generations. This keeps up the tradition and preserves the value of the family. My family also has one such heirloom which was transferred to my mother. It is a piece of jewellery that I am going to talk about today. It is a gold necklace of immense value.

Where did your family get it?

This piece of jewellery belonged to my great gret grandmother. From there, it was passed on through generations. Finally, it came to my mother who now is the proud owner of the piece. It is a tradition in our family where the mother-in-law gives the chain to their daughter-in-law as a legacy. My mother will transmit it to my daughter-in-law at some point. As I previously stated, it is a gold necklace that is extremely costly. This piece of jewellery has a one-of-a-kind ancient design. It is hand-crafted by the jewellers which make such chains exceedingly uncommon. White pearls and rectangular rubies are added to the gold, making it even more appealing. My mother treasures this necklace, keeping it secure and only wearing it on special occasions. When she wears it, she always gets a lot of praise.

How long it has been in your family?

It has been in my family for generations. My great-grandmother, grandmother, and mother were all photographed wearing the same necklace. It is valuable because of the gold, but it is far more valuable because of the feeling associated with it. I'm hoping that my family will pass down this priceless heirloom to future generations.

Model Answer 2:

What the object is?

In a typical household, there are several things that we utilize for various functions. Of fact, we do not regard all of these items equally because some get old and worn out while others appear to be new and nice. However, there are certain items in our homes that we have used for a long time but still look great. Today, I'd like to discuss one such item that my family has used and preserved for many years.

Where did your family get it?

A dining table is a thing that my family has maintained for a long time. For the previous 15 years or so, I've watched a lot of things in my family get replaced by newer stuff, but the dining table is still proudly proclaiming its presence in our dining room. Of course, the dining chairs surrounding it have been replaced several times, but the dining table remains. This dining table has a circular form and is made of "mahogany" wood. By the way, this is one of the most beautiful mahogany wood tables I've ever seen. In fact, even after over 15 years of use, the wood on this table appears to be so seasoned and strong that I can scarcely see any scratches on it.

How long it has been in your family?

Regular painting on this table, which was constructed in the shop of a local carpenter in my hometown, has also contributed to its long-term smoothness and good condition. Anyway, we all enjoy the dining table, and it'll probably stay in our dining room for another 210 years since it has sentimental significance. In reality, my parents have preserved this table for so long because it was built from the wood of a tree that my paternal grandpa planted over 60 years ago. So, once again, it's a really emotional situation. Furthermore, I believe my family has maintained it for so long because it still looks good and excellent after so many years of use.

Model Answer 3:

What the object is?

Some of the medical books that belonged to and were used by my paternal grandpa are still maintained in our home with great care. This issue reminds me of those books, which I believe are among the oldest items in our house.

Where did your family get it?

My grandpa was a doctor with an extensive library of medical and reference literature. I was only five years old when dad died, and I don't recall anything about him today. But I'd heard he was a wonderful person and a fantastic doctor. Everyone in our neighborhood looked up to him. To honor my grandfather's memory, my father removed one of his used tables, an armchair, a large photograph of him, and some of his books when he died.

How long it has been in your family?

My grandfather's medical books, for example, have survived and may be found on a bookshelf in our home. Those books are at least 50 to 60 years old, and we've had them for the past 20 years in our bookcase. Our housekeepers occasionally remove such books from the shelf, clean them, and then return them to the shelf. When I was a little schoolboy, I attempted to read a few pages from such books, and I recall that they had a distinct odour. I tried to decipher what the texts in those volumes were about, but except for a few illustrations, I had no idea.

They are medical-science words, which is why they appeared gibberish to my youthful mind. These books have been maintained in my family as a memento of my grandfather's life. My grandpa was adored by my father, and he was adored by my grandfather as well. My grandfather's only tangible possessions were these books. As a result, they serve as a conduit for my grandfather's memories. Despite the fact that these books have no monetary worth, they are invaluable to our family and serve as a reminder of our grandfather's cherished memories.
