Describe an Ambition that You Have for a Long Time Cue Card

What did you do for it?

From a very small age, I started dreaming of playing a role in some drama. Unluckily, in my school, I was never able to secure a place in the drama club. Soon when I got into college, I finally got a chance to be a part of drama society. I had to work hard to improve my acting skills to get the central role. Every time, I used to get a side role but I had confidence and faith in myself. After college, I used to wait to practice for the upcoming auditions.

When can you achieve it?

I was in my second year when the director of the production house found potential in me. He assigned the lead role to me and I practised day and night to get into the character. Since the director showed faith in me, it was my time to let him down and fulfil my dream at the same time. I knew that to achieve success and appreciation, I have to perform my best. Till the day of our drama performance, I worked really hard for the success of it. While performing the play, I was continuously reminding myself that this is what I wanted for so long.

Why do you have this ambition?

After the play ended, I received a lot of appreciation and the Dean of the college called me. I thought that I did something wrong in the play. I was really nervous and somehow gathered the courage to pay a visit and he appreciated how brilliantly I performed the role. And further, he asked me to keep up with the hard work and he was looking forward to me being the central character of each play.

What did you do for it?

First of all, I checked out what the entire process is to go to Canada and then made the strategy to work hard in that direction. Since I wished to pursue my studies in Canada only, I needed to clear the entrance test to get eligible for admission to my favourite college. So I prepared harder to clear the exam. The entire process was tiring but every day I used to motivate myself. I worked harder and did not open rooms for any distraction in my life. From the beginning, I had a clear picture of what I wanted.

When can you achieve it?

I always wanted to get settled in Canada and that was the time my cousin flew from Canada to my place. He used to tell the stories of his experience there and how he managed to have a well-settled life over there. From the beginning till the end, he told everything he did there. When he was narrating the episodes of his success, I made it clear in the back of my mind to have such a royal and successful life. As soon as he left the place, I told my parents about the same and I promised them to work harder in the direction to go to Canada.

Why do you have this ambition?

Every day seems to be tough, but I knew that I was closer to my dreams to get fulfilled. However, with little-by-little progress every day I came really closer to my ambition. Obviously, no one can achieve their goals in a day, sometimes it takes time. And staying patient and working hard even after failing gives the real essence of achieving an ambition. Further, I know after reaching Canada there must be certain other ambitions that might pop up in my brain.

What did you do for it?

Since the starting years, I had no idea where to start but I knew if I had to pursue my career in this field then I need to know about it. Once I passed out of tenth class, I opted for the commerce stream to get a well-established background before starting with my business plan. I had multiple ideas but I had no idea in which direction or plan I should proceed with. I just know that I had to start something of my own. To get successful I put in a lot of effort so that I should not feel that lack somewhere.

When can you achieve it?

Soon after my school ended, and I went to the college I chose a more clear idea with which I progressed. Step by step I progressed and without taking much help from my friends and keeping a secret from my family, I established my small cafe. With time, when I used to have a good income from that cafe, that was the time I revealed to my parents about the same. Obviously, in the initial stages, there was a lot of hard work and strategies I needed to take into consideration. Certain major problems piled up which restricted me to achieve success and even accomplish my ambition. The one constant and major problem that was always in my way was funds.

Why do you have this ambition?

I had no idea how to gather a minimum amount to establish my cafe. But, it is truly said, "Where there is a will there's a way". I didn't lose hope at all, and the final outcome was my success. I am glad that somehow I managed to process the funds and started my cafe with great zeal. People usually think that once they achieve their ambition things will end. But, that's when new ambition arises and the story continues like this.
