Describe an Accident You Have Seen or Heard About Cue Card

It was 7 o'clock in the evening and I was making my way home from my job. There was heavy traffic on practically all of the roads. I heard some shouting across the street as I got closer to the flyover.

What harm it caused?

Slowly, I moved ahead, noticing a large crowd. I pulled over to the side of the road and parked my car, curious as to why there were so many people gathered and screaming. I crossed the street and addressed an already present man, inquiring as to why there were so many people there. He informed me that there had been an accident barely 5 minutes before.’

How you felt about the accident?

An SUV driver was driving recklessly and crashed with a bike rider who died on the spot when he lost control of his speed. The automobile driver tried to flee the scene as well, but witnesses gathered and called the cops and an ambulance.

When I first learned of the tragedy, I was stunned, and I'll never forget seeing the motorbike rider's body bathed in blood. That's something I still can't get out of my thoughts.

I believe it was a Friday late afternoon when I was taking the bus home from work a few months ago. Possibly as a result of people rushing to get home from work, the road was a little busier and more congested than usual. Six major highways were used by small and large vehicles traveling in both directions, with at least two of them descending sharply as they reached the crossing.

What harm it caused?

On a normal day with normal traffic flow and speed, this minor road "anomaly" wouldn't cause much of an issue or risk. However, unless a large number of new drivers/people from out of town. Also, those who are unfamiliar with this road "anomaly," were driving on those roads and trying to pass each other in a rush.

But, unfortunately, that's exactly what happened on that "fortunate" Friday afternoon, resulting in a sudden and inevitable "accident". That happened between a 12-wheel truck and a private car as the big truck attempted to overtake the car at a dangerous speed. This was to avoid the "red" traffic signal while colliding with the car, seriously injuring at least one car passenger. For a long time, I merely stared at the accident site in "shock and horror," with a "numb" feeling throughout my entire body. In any case, I was horrified and terrified after watching the event. After that, I had a strong sensation of hatred and anger in me, as if I was going to "harm" the truck driver for his idiotic and completely reckless actions. I also felt compelled to bring the situation to the attention of the road authority. So that they might take prompt action to "repair" the roads as soon as possible in the public's best interests.

I reside in a rented apartment building in Alwar, Delhi. A 15-story apartment complex is a new project that a building company has started working on. They started their activities as a result, making it difficult for us to sleep, especially early in the morning. Unbearable noise was coming from the basement. However, one day the noise got so bad that I had to rush downstairs after looking out my window to find a crane that had derailed.

What harm it caused?

The crane had two workers in it, who was seriously injured when it dropped to the ground.

The injuries to the workers were too serious, and they were bleeding profusely. Their lips were gushing blood, and one of them had met with a terrible head injury. The folks on the scene requested an ambulance and emergency medical services. At the same time, several of them were attempting to offer first aid to them. Unfortunately, they had broken some bones and were bleeding profusely from various places on their bodies. Unfortunately, the injured workers died before reaching the hospital.

I was so shaken by the accident that I can't get the images out of my head. I'm unable to remove them from my memories, and they follow me around at all times. For the development of the apartment complex, two of the construction company's men lost their lives. The incident was completely unintentional. The crane's wire that was hoisting them up was ripped apart because it couldn't withstand the weight. As a result, the crane, together with the employees and other building items, came crashing down. When the crane dislodged itself from its cord, a tremendous thump was heard, and everyone began shouting.

As a result, when I heard the shouts, I became aware of the accident and went to the scene to assist in the rescue of the other workers. Almost everyone in the nearby apartments came out to help as well, fearing that there may be further ramifications as a result of the tragedy.

This was an extremely serious accident, and the damages could have been much worse. But the damage radius was minimized thanks to the building authority's preventive efforts. If there had been an uncontrolled building, the accident may have claimed the lives of more project personnel. But, thankfully, nothing like that happened. The remaining employees were unharmed. The cable was examined by the construction authority. And it was discovered that the cable had torn due to the tremendous load and frequent use. Other precautions were taken to avoid repeat mishaps.
