What do you know about it?

There are barely 200 people living in my village. I return to my village each year for my Dussehra break. My parents take me to our ancestral house during this season since Durga Puja is celebrated there every year. The air is crisp as the automobile turns onto the muddy road, and I can feel it. The trees on each side of the road heading into the village are bursting with life and seem to be dancing with delight to greet us.

Among my favorite places is a little rivulet. Beyond the rivulet lie acres of grasslands and hills, which makes it a wonderful place to spend time. This would make a perfect picture for an artist to paint. The rivulet is a favorite swimming and bathing area for all ages.

The villagers mainly farm. I get a great deal of joy from visiting my hometown because of its tranquil and serene atmosphere. Here, I can eat some fresh, organic veggies and fruits. My village's residents are really helpful and live in peace with no grudges. They live as though they are one huge family who is always looking out for each other. This act of kindness is uncommon to come by in the metropolis.

Villages have flourished in India since ancient times, and they have always been reliant on one another for product demand and supply. They also make a significant contribution to the country's growth and development. India's agricultural industry is more important than its secondary and tertiary sectors. The economy relies heavily on villages. My village is also a part of all of India's villages where people still live in peace and harmony. Furthermore, as compared to the population of metropolitan regions, the people of villages are kind and live a happy and wealthy existence.

And How far it is?

The place is just 100 kms away from Kolkata airport. With sweltering summers and chilly winters, my village is situated in a tiny area. I frequently go to my village in the summer because of vacations. The settlement has substantially lower summer temperatures than the city. In a village, air conditioners are not necessary either because of the breeze. The neighbourhood panchayat building is another concrete structure. All minor legal matters are dealt with at this court. Overseeing the house are the President and his other ministers.

What do you know about it?

Greenery abounds in a hamlet, and practically every home has at least one tree in its courtyard.

Furthermore, because summer is harvest season, I have rarely seen any crops. Furthermore, before, there were more kutcha buildings (mud and brick houses), but the situation has changed, and the number of pakka houses (made of concrete and other materials) has grown. In addition, the inhabitants of the village are nicer than those of the metropolis.

Mayapur is still in development. Only a few months back, the village received its first power connection. From four o'clock in the evenings until six o'clock in the mornings, we have power for 14 hours in our homes. Minor power outages occur from time to time, although they are quite unusual.

Our neighborhood is 10 minutes away from the local market. If one has to purchase any needed goods or food products, they may walk to the market or take a 5-minute rickshaw trip. Markets selling critical, indispensable goods abound throughout the marketplace. A government ration shop is also located in the market.

Do you like it or not?

The fresh and invigorating air is one of my favorite aspects of my community. Even if I've slept for 4-5 hours, the air makes me feel refreshed. Above all, I can view and count stars at night, which I couldn't do in the city. Hence, visiting my village during my college break makes me happy.

And How far it is?

200 kilometres separate it from Kolkata's major city. There are four people in my family: my parents, my older sister, and I. While my sister helps my mother with housework, my father is employed at a nearby construction site.

What do you know about it?

Anantapur is a small but lovely village. The town is divided by a single, long road that branches out at various points, curves, and gives rise to byways and alleys. Small mud houses and cottages are arranged in two parallel rows on either side of the road. There are only a few clusters of concrete structures in the area, and they house all the mud and sand. We have a few amenities here and there. In the centre of the village sits the government-sponsored communal village school. It is the only educational facility in the area because there are no institutions nearby. The two-story school facility houses students in grades 1 through 8. I'm in fifth grade.

Do you like it or not?

The roads are not straight routes; they are only cart tracks. Everyone in our village is close with one another, and we all know one another. Every evening, my friends from nearby huts and I go play in the fields. Typically, we enjoy playing kabaddi and hide-and-seek. The streets are illuminated by the lampposts that line each bylane. The main industries in Anandapur are manual labour, handicrafts, and agriculture. A few people go to Calcutta to continue their education.

Our village is surrounded by vegetation and is located in the midst of nature. Pollution has not yet infiltrated the air around us, as it does in cities. Despite the fact that city living offers numerous perks and advantages to its residents, I am content with the simple and calm life I enjoy in my tiny hamlet.
