Model Answer 1

Where you went?

According to my opinion, an educational trip is the best way to make students learn about real-life scenarios and issues. It is the most ideal approach to learning new things. When I was in 8th standard, I went to Agra on an educational trip. We went to see one of the World Heritage sites of the world, the Taj Mahal. Agra is situated in Uttar Pradesh and is most famous for the great Taj Mahal. Every year a huge number of tourists visit Agra to experience the glory of the Taj Mahal.

What you did?

The purpose of this educational trip was to find out about the design and history behind the excellent marble-made structure and Mughal Empire in India. The tomb is made in remembrance of Mumtaz Mahal, the wife of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Situated on the western bank of the Yamuna River, the design is viewed as the mausoleum of love. We entered the compound after a line and there it was, one of the best constructions in the world. However, there were some incidents that made the trip unpleasant.

What happened during the trip?

Firstly I noticed that due to the pollution in the surrounding area the shade of the building appeared yellowish instead of white. I imagined that the surrounding areas would be perfect and liberated from peddlers yet the view was only inverse to my idea. The majority of individuals were occupied with clicking their pictures instead of enjoying the beauty of the Taj. In addition, the number of guides to assist with visiting the region appropriately was improper. Also, the authority is taking a more expensive cost for entrance tickets however not focusing on making the compound better and cleaner. I saw people spitting anywhere making the property dirty, there was garbage on the walking paths, and more such things that made me frustrated. It was not at all what I expected to see and I was very disappointed.

Where you went?

On a recent weekend, I went to Pachmarhi with my family. This was a trip that I was very excited about because after a very long time we all were going somewhere. Also, I heard very nice things about this place so I was very thrilled to be there. It was an 8-hour drive from my home to Pachmarhi. We sang songs, played games, and took a lot of pictures at some very beautiful spots along the way.

What you did?

When we reached Pachmarhi it was raining heavily so we checked into our hotel and waited for the rain to stop. We reached there at 4 pm and we planned to do all the touristy things after reaching there. But this rain ruined all our plans. Our first day got wasted and we went to sleep hoping the next day would be better. The next morning was the same, it was raining cats and dogs. I got very disappointed thinking that this day would also be spent sitting in the hotel.

What happened during the trip?

After we had our breakfast we saw that the rain stopped. We were relieved and left for our next location. We took our raincoats with us because in Pachmarhi it can rain anytime. We reached our first destination for the day, it was a waterfall in the dense forest. We had to walk for over 2 km to reach the waterfall. Thankfully it did not rain on the way there but just when we started to enjoy the beautiful scenery it started to rain again. We instantly rushed to the car and I got so frustrated because this trip was not going as planned. That whole day it rained so we decided to cut the trip short and went back to me. It was one of the worst experiences on a trip I have ever had.

Where you went?

Vacations are supposed to be a fun break from the dull routine of our lives though sometimes it doesn’t go as expected. I decided to take a trip to one of the most beautiful places, with the most beautiful tea gardens in it, in my country. It was supposed to be a relaxing trip, as my tour guide had told me, but instead, it became a boring affair in the end.

What you did?

I don’t really get much vacation time from my job so I had planned for this trip well in advance. I contacted a renowned organisation that was supposed to manage everything, from booking the hotel to choosing the food menu, on my behalf. I knew that I had to pay a decent amount of money for all these arrangements. However, I didn't actually mind it much since they guaranteed me a fun-filled trip.

What happened during the trip?

Everything was fine until I arrived at my destination. The bus that took me to the destination was very good and comfortable. But things began to turn unpleasant as soon as I reached my hotel. To my shock, the hotel manager told me that I need to share my room with another person. I got very pissed after listening to this thing. Apparently, because the hotel didn’t have enough rooms for all the guests. However, the worst part of the tour was that my visiting period to the tea garden was cut short due to the forecast of some bad weather. The trip certainly was not up to my expectations. It was due to the travel agency failing to collect sufficient necessary information from its partners to ensure an enjoyable experience for its customers.
