Model Answer 1

What is the rule about?

The Motor Vehicle Act states that it is forbidden to drive when intoxicated or under the influence. However, according to statistics, 38,000 people are predicted to have lost their lives in traffic accidents as a result of drunk driving between 2018 and 2020, or just two years. The government establishes regulations to ensure that everyone gets along and coexists in a peaceful and orderly manner. A good illustration of this is overseeing traffic safety. When talking about traffic laws, red, yellow, and green colour signals are the ones that come to mind the most frequently. But I do want to draw your attention to one of the laws that is frequently broken in India: the law against drunk driving. We all learn about this rule in our early years of education, almost universally.

How did you get to know about it?

When I saw a group of young boys driving recklessly and acting aggressively, I went deeply into the statistics. Their speakers were blasting loud music, which hinted at their inebriation. It was quite frustrating to see that, and after I moved a little distance at my own pace, I saw that their car had been severely damaged when it struck a pole, which seemed to indicate an accident. Further investigation revealed the minimum age requirement for getting a driver's licence. It is a legal document that gives someone permission to operate a motor vehicle for a period of eighteen years. Even Nevertheless, a lot of young adults who lack numerous practical skills still have a driver's licence.

They believe they will eventually develop the skill of safe driving over time and after a few mishaps. The most terrifying method to learn to drive is that, though.

Do you follow this rule?

I avoid alcohol and I usually don’t drink when I’m driving. Thus, unknowinglu I abide by this law and further I also make sure that others don’t try to pull such mishaps.

Explain why is the rule important?

Alcohol impairs our judgement and concentration, which causes us to lose focus and have accidents. It distorts vision and has an impact on the senses. Thus, it may be difficult for us to see objects clearly, which would affect our decision to apply the brakes. So, in order to avoid endangering both our own and others' lives, we must follow by the laws that have been established.

Model Answer 2

What is the rule about?

I've enjoyed riding motorcycles on the highway ever since I was a child. I used to ride my electric bike around my colony every night when I was younger, thanks to a gift from my father. Many responsibilities, such as observing traffic regulations, come with biking. Wearing helmets while riding is a rule that I've noticed not many people adhere to, including the rider and the passenger.

Not only the rider is required to wear a helmet under the new Motor Vehicle Act's straightforward regulations. The life of both of them, not just one, is in jeopardy, thus it's also crucial that the pillion rider pays attention.

How did you get to know about it?

I got to know about this rule when I was young. Once I was going to a doctor with my father and he gave me a helmet and asked me to wear it. As an inquisitive child, I asked the reason that if he is driving why should I wear a helmet.

He responded very calmly that trusting people is important but our safety is necessary too.

Do you follow this rule?

In just a few simple words, he made me the watchful person that I am today and now I do not leave my house nor let anyone sit on the backseat without a helmet.

Explain why is the rule important?

Many people have criticised this new rule failing to realise that pillion riders are more injured in an accident. The seating in modern bikes is such that pillion riders sit at a height and are prone to falling even with a bump of medium intensity. In such a scenario, they need something to protect their head as the major cause of death in bike accidents is severe head injury.

This particular rule must be implemented strongly to save lives. In my opinion, the amount of challan should be increased too as many people do not take the fines seriously unless it is high. People must realise that helmets are for our safety and they should not be seen as a token to prevent fines from traffic police. Rather it should be worn to save the life of every person on the road.

Model Answer 3

What is the rule about?

We manage to put our safety at danger by disobeying the rules that the government has established for it. I want to talk about a recent government regulation that prohibits using a cell phone while driving in order to safeguard people's lives. It may seem straightforward, yet people find it quite challenging to follow. With its ability to connect us to a large number of people and enable us to research any issue, it is no wonder that mobile phones have revolutionised our world. The easy life that humans used to lead has become more complicated as a result of them, though.

How did you get to know about it?

When I was driving towards my workplace, I was already running late so I was trying to coordinate with my team members over the phone. Suddenly I was stopped by the traffic police and I didn’t even realise the reason until he mentioned that using a cellphone while driving is not allowed. I was surprised as I had to pay the fine for my ignorance. Although I learnt it the hard way, I am glad I did as I realised how much we have become dependent on man-made technology.

Do you follow this rule?

After that incident where I had to pay a fine, now I never use a mobile phone while driving other than for navigational purposes. I make sure that people around me don't use mobile phones while driving too.

Explain why is the rule important?

Whether we are eating or spending time with friends, we always scroll on mobile phones too. It has become an addiction for us which has moved out of the house to roads. That is where it holds the maximum risk which includes losing and taking lives. Driving on the road requires lots of concentration. One cannot afford even a bit of distraction as it can cause accidents.

Life is priceless and our safety lies in our hands only. We must act responsibly to save not just our lives but others too. All it takes is to stay vigilant and follow the rules implemented by the government as it is done for our well being.
