Where is it?

Most of my childhood days have been spent in a small town. I find the calm and serene environment to be rather enticing. It gives me a feeling of pleasure and joy when I set to explore this town, and it gives me a sense of belonging. I'm thinking specifically about Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland's isles. It's located with very beautiful scenic views. It lies among crags and hills, as well as its lofty structures and spires of black stone, contributes significantly to this city's melancholy theatricality.

How do you know about the city?

One of Europe's most enigmatic cities has to be Edinburgh. This city first caught my attention when I read about it in one of my geography textbooks from school. I tried to learn as much as I could about this lovely place by doing an internet search about it. It has a special appeal despite being the second-most populous city in Scotland. The city is well known for its medical, scientific, philosophical, literary, and engineering education. One of the most coveted universities in the United Kingdom is the University of Edinburgh.

What is it famous for?

The largest yearly international arts festival in the world, the Fringe, is held in the city each year. Furthermore, there is a lot to see in this historic city. There are various historic sites to witness, including Edinburgh Castle, the Holyroodhouse Palace, the churches of St. Giles, Greyfriars, and the Canongate. Edinburgh's old and new towns are also regarded as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Edinburgh was the first city in the entire world to have its own fire service, which is just one of the intriguing facts about this city. In addition, it has 112 parks and more trees per resident than any other city in Britain, which adds to its significance given the climate change conditions.

Why would you like to live there?

I particularly admire this city for its 18th-century feel, which is exemplified by its stone sidewalks and emphasis on walking and cycling for transportation. Edinburgh enjoys a somewhat temperate climate, avoiding the harsh winters and summers. There are many unique taverns and eateries that serve the public and offer a great spot to socialise with friends. Last but not least, the Scottish culture is what makes this location great. One can easily feel a part of their celebrations and holidays. The city is one of the best places to visit, study, and finally, settle down because of its medieval atmosphere.

When I was younger, I used to be captivated by stories about the lost city of Atlantis and often pondered what it might have been like to visit. I believed that they were all unrealistic hopes. Although not quite a submerged city, it is near. The Veneto region's capital, also known as Venezia in Italian, is located in northern Italy. One of Italy's most attractive cities is undoubtedly Venice, sometimes referred to as the "City of Canals," "The Floating City," and "Serenissima."

A series of more than 100 tiny islands in an Adriatic Sea lagoon serves as the foundation for the city of Venice. There are no roads in the area, thus the only way to get around is by using the canals that encircle the majority of the city. It is renowned as the City Of Canals for precisely this reason.

When my father showed me photos of his travels, I saw a city that seemed to exist far from home but, to my surprise, it was easily accessible. I was fascinated by the enticing cities of the world and frequently looked up locations all over the world and wished to travel to. He gave it the name Pondicherry, or Puducherry as we know it now. Pondicherry, a bustling Indian city on the country's southeast coast, is frequently referred to as the "French Capital of India." Additionally, it is home to JIPMER, one of the top medical schools in the nation. It is a well-rounded and tidy city in addition to having stunning scenery. The French Quarters, the tree-lined alleys, the colonial mansions in mustard color, and the upscale shops all bear witness to the city's French past. Aside from that, one of the most charming aspects of this city is the sunrises and sunsets. This coastal city is one of the nicest locations to reside because of its tranquility. It offers adequate room for housing and living, as well as all the chances for both working and schooling, making it a good area to live.

Why would you like to live here?

I've always wished I could work, read, and go for nighttime walks by the seashore if I lived close to the coast. I believe I would be able to study and work in a relaxing setting where I could focus on my tasks at hand. I wish to live in a peaceful setting where I can feel at ease and even enjoy my life.
