Model Answer 1

Whom did you make the promise to?

I believe keeping and maintaining a promise is a skill. It requires ones dediction and sheer will to abide by their words especially when one is in committed relationship. I would like to share my experience as an individual who made a promise to herself and her husband.

What the promise was?

Actually, I was getting fat and my brother's wedding was coming up; my spouse had bought a lovely dress for the event. He really wanted me to wear it on the special day, but it was too small for me due to my bloated stomach. My husband then agreed to my vow that I would lose weight. I managed to lose weight in one month, despite the fact that I only had one month left in my marriage and it was very difficult for me to do so. He was aware that I had never reneged on my promise. Thus, I made a promise to myself that I woukld lose enough weight so that I would be able to wear the dress that my husband got me.

Why you made the promise?

I made that promise because I wanted to make myself and my husband happy. It is not fact that people look good in whatever the body shape they are is being neglected or anything like that. But the there are few dresses that require as to have toned body.

Was the promise easy to achieve?

I started waking up early in the morning. Although getting up so early was challenging at first, I had promised my spouse that I would do it. As a result, I started working out, skipping breakfast, relying more on fresh vegetables, and avoiding junk food altogether. My husband was very appreciative of my efforts because I was able to lose 15 kg of weight in a month by working nonstop. I was able to wear the dress with ease because of my husband's motivation and encouragement, and when I wore it, people seemed to really like me. I continued to be faithful to my husband as a result of that. In my opinion, if one makes a promise, they must keep it.

Keeping my word made me feel good about myself and gave me a sense of strength. It was difficult for me to accomplish. Due to my inability to control my hunger and the fact that I get really dehydrated whenever I exercise, it was much harder than I had anticipated. It was challenging, but it was worthwhile.

Model Answer 2

Whom did you make the promise to?

I find it annoying that so many people treat promises casually. Why promise or commit to something if you won't keep your word? This is one of the reasons I don't make many promises. But if I do make a promise, I do all in my power to keep it.

With my parents and other family members, I made a commitment.

What the promise was?

Due to a government-imposed lockdown during the Coronavirus pandemic, all inhabitants were instructed to stay indoors. I'm a gregarious animal who used to spend at least three to four hours a day with my buddies before the corona age. My parents forced me to promise them that I would not walk out of the house unless and until it was absolutely necessary.

Why you made the promise?

My grandparents reside with us and were considered high-risk due to their advanced age. In addition, my grandfather suffers from diabetes. My grandparents have taken good care of me since I was a child, therefore I have a strong emotional attachment to them. We were all concerned that if I spent a lot of time outside, my grandparents would contract the virus from me. In the beginning, it wasn't easy. I was unable to communicate with any of my pals.

I wasn't even permitted to leave the house to go shopping. I dialed my pals' numbers; we used to communicate by phone calls and texts. We sometimes used to do video calls. After a few days, I ran out of topics to discuss. I would become upset and frustrated at times, but I would quickly remember how I had made the promise.

Was the promise easy to achieve?

As I discovered new hobbies and interests, it became simpler. I took up guitar lessons, read a lot of books, and even played several board games with my grandmother. It's been about a year since I made that commitment, and I'm delighted I was able to follow through. It was for my own betterment and for the safety of my family members. I am proud of myself that I took up the responsibility to fulfill my promise and to fighter with the deadly virus effectively.

Model Answer 3

Whom did you make the promise to?

In life, obligations are a habit that all of us have. We regularly break our promises, but we do occasionally get a chance to honour them. My parents worry about my safety quite a bit because I reside so far away from home. As a result of the pandemic last year, they found themselves in a Catch-22 situation. To my parents, I gave a commitment.

What the promise was?

Due to travel restrictions, I was unable to visit my motherland. My father tried urgently to contact me, but he was denied permission owing to his age. During that time, I promised my parents that as soon as a proper vaccine became available, I would return to my office.

Why you made the promise?

Making the vow was primarily motivated by my desire to help my parents live a stress-free life. Because they believed that leaving in the case of a pandemic would be catastrophic. Because they are parents, they are overly possessive of me. They've always gone above and beyond to make things easier for me. When the symptoms of the corona pandemic were prevalent, my parents' lives became more difficult. They started to have negative thoughts regarding my health. As a result, I assured them that I would stay in my township until a vaccine was developed. Because it was too difficult for me, I couldn't maintain my word.

Was the promise easy to achieve?

Despite the fact that I was able to acquire work from a home position as a result of my positive connection with my employer, my productivity dropped. Not only that, but my lack of physical activity caused me to gain a significant amount of weight. As a result of it, I became socially isolated. It was difficult for me to keep my word but I tried my best as it was for my own safety and my parent's safety.

Authorities eventually made the immunization public last month. I'd applied for a volunteer position and had a dosage allocated to me. I'm feeling pretty good about sticking to my word now that I'm back at work. In retrospect, I believe I made the best decision. I understood the importance of promise keeping.
