When was it?
Whenever I visit new places, I try to buy something local from local shops. These act as souvenirs in my collection. I am a shopaholic since I was in the first year of my graduation. I still remember the first trip when I went to Udaipur with my parents and other family members. I have heard about Udaipur from friends. I wanted to see the magical beauty of this place. Finally, during my summer vacation, we went to visit Udaipur.
Where was the market?
There are many tourist attractions like Lake Pichola, Saheliyo KI Bari, and the Udaipur fort in Udaipur. However, the one thing I loved the most was the market in Udaipur. Since I loved to buy small and local things, it caught my attention. There were many vendors who brought handmade products. It was so colorful and vibrant that I didn't even realize it when I started shopping for different items. I bought many things for myself as well as for my family.
What did you buy?
I knew that Udaipur was famous for handmade products like bags, and dresses which were made in Rajasthani style. I found a small stall that was selling handbags of different colors and they were all embroidered. I bought two handbags for myself and two more for my mother. I also say small vendors selling clay toys. There were many animal toys like horses, elephants, and tigers. I bought a few clay toys for my brother and a few for decoration in my room. It was a huge market that had hundreds of shops selling Rajasthani items. These were specially made in Rajasthan by local craftsmen. I tried many dresses and finally bought a skirt which I can wear for occasions. I also bought a few clay bangles from a street vendor. The market is not only famous for Rajasthani products, but it is also popular for food, especially Rajasthani food.
How did you feel about it?
I felt very joyful seeing so many products in front of my eyes. I could see the magic that my friends told me. It was a great shopping experience. I believe the Udaipur market is a shopping paradise for many.

When was it?
India has many street shops. These markets not only sell the products at a low price but will also help you in finding the best products by giving a variety of options. I live in Delhi and my favorite street market is the famous Sarojini Nagar market. I went to this market for the first time when I was in the first year of my graduation.
Where is it?
It is located near Sarojini Nagar metro station and it is the least expensive market in Delhi if you're looking for something branded yet cheap. I was accompanied by my sister who had visited this market several times. I took a metro to Sarojini Nagar. I still remember how excited I was about the shopping. My sister picked me up from the metro station and we began our journey to the market.
What did you buy?
It was very crowded with people of all ages but especially girls. Sarojini Nagar is like a blessing for girls and we saw many of the girls shopping and bargaining with the shopkeepers. There were many shops and stalls selling clothes and accessories. When I first entered the market, all I felt was confusion but after some time, I began to notice why people love this market so much. There were branded clothes at a very cheap price in almost every shop and many vendors were roaming around with their products in their hands like perfumes and belts. We bought three tops from a shop which cost us around 300 rs and I must say, my sister bargains really well. After that, we went to a shop that was selling jackets, though it was summertime. My sister told me that it's good to purchase clothes off-season from Sarojini Nagar as they sell these items at a very low price in the off-season.
How did you feel about it?
So, we bought two jackets for us at the lowest price possible. After our shopping, we went to eat momos from a nearby shop and then, my sister left for her place and I took an auto for the metro station with a happy heart.

When was it?
There are many markets in our country that are like heaven for shopping enthusiasts and I have been to a few of them quite a number of times. One of the markets is where I live the closest to, and I visit it very frequently but the first time I visited the Kamla Nagar market, I was in awe.
Where was it?
Delhi is a place where you can find these markets very easily as they are located in almost every part of the city. One such market is the very popular Kamla Nagar market. This market has everything, from nail polish to designer clothes, you can find almost everything here. I went there for the first time with my friends and since we are all from the same city and our city didn't have many street markets, we were astonished to see the cheap prices as well as the bargaining talent of the people.
What did you buy?
I bought a shirt for myself from a stall and the price was 150 rs which was very less than what I was used to paying for my clothes. My friends purchased some earrings and a ring for themselves at a discounted price but don't be fooled by the discount thing, the quality of the products was pretty good. Then, we went to explore the market further and saw many shops selling different items like shoes, hair bands, bracelets, etc. There is a mall in between the Kamla Nagar market and many people were visiting the mall as well.
How did you feel about it?
I still remember how happy I was after bargaining for the shirt. However, the market is popular among people for the purchase of clothes and accessories because who wants to pay double the amount for the same thing that you can get in the street market. Kamla Nagar is famous for its momos and rightly so. We tried the momos by a stall and really, they were so delicious.
