When it was?
It is always important to take risks in your life as playing safe will not take people far in their life. I have a friend who is an entrepreneur and he explained to me this fact very clearly and briefly that it is very important to take risks in your life as this will give you a new experience and will teach you a lot of things. After listening to his thoughts, I finally decided to make my boring life a little interesting and decided to step out of my boring daily routine.

What type of risk you took?
I was working as an employee in the customer support department in an ecommerce company. My job was really very boring and the pay I got was really unsatisfactory as it was difficult to survive with this small amount of money. My friend once asked me regarding my professional life and he was really surprised after listening to my answer as I told him that I have no interesting things to tell about my life. He gave me an offer to start a new business with him.

What could have gone wrong?
He explained to me that there is a risk in starting this business as there are many competitors in the same field in the market, so it could also pay off big time. After listening to his conditions, I still decided to take the risk and invest my whole savings in this business. We created a lot of extraordinary ideas and tried our best to make this restaurant exclusive and different from others.

Explain how it turned out well.
Initially, we faced a lot of problems in setting this business and attracting the customers towards our restaurant. At one point, we thought that the business was going in loss and I totally lost hope in all the things and felt that I had wasted my money in this business. There were a lot of negative thoughts in my mind. But my friend still tried hard and motivated me. We both finally succeeded in our new business and today, we are very happy with our decision of setting the new restaurant and taking the biggest risk of my life by investing my whole savings in this business.

There are a lot of things in our day to day life that are totally filled with risks. But there are many people who always try to play safe and I believe that this would not take them to a long run in their life. I really think that taking risks will teach me a lot of things about life. I took a lot of risks in my life but the biggest risk I took when I completed my graduation and decided to move to another country for higher education.

What type of risk you took?
I decided to go to the USA for higher studies and discussed this with my parents. Initially my parents were not satisfied with my decision as they wanted me to study in India but I convinced them and finally cleared the exam to go to the USA. I had applied for the visa and given the interview but I was rejected due to some reasons. I didn't lose hope and tried to get the visa until I succeeded. The biggest risk I took was the loan to pay the tuition fees in the University in the USA.

What could have gone wrong?
My parents were worried about my future and it would be very difficult for them to clear the loan if I didn't get the chance to move to the USA. I invested a lot of money in paying the tuition fees and other expenditures that included accommodation, transportation and other paperwork charges.

Explain how it turned out well.
When I was rejected for the second time in the visa interview, I started losing the hope of pursuing higher studies in the USA but my parents supported and motivated me. They tried their best to reflect the positive thoughts in my mind and told me to appear in the interview for the third time. I finally succeeded this time and got the visa to go to the USA for higher studies.

Taking risks is an essential part in the human life as it will build up the confidence level and motivate the person to face the challenging tasks in their career. I took a lot of risks it my life but the biggest risk was when I appeared in the CBSE exams without preparing the syllabus due to serious family issues.

What type of risk you took?
I was in 12th standard and was having my CBSE board final exams after one week. One day suddenly my mother suffered from serious health issues and was immediately admitted to the hospital. Doctors informed us that she had to undergo a surgery as soon as possible. Due to my mother's poor health conditions, I had to stay in the hospital until she recovers properly. My father was on a business tour out of the country and he was unable to reach on time during the surgery. So, all the responsibilities were on my shoulders as my younger brother was not mature enough to handle the situation. Due to this, I was unable to prepare for my final exams and my teacher supported me a lot in my bad times.

What could have gone wrong?
She suggested that I should go through the important chapters once before sitting in the exam. But I didn't get enough time to go through the important chapters too as there was a lot of work in the hospital as well as in the home. The biggest risk I took was that I appeared in my final CBSE board examinations without preparing the syllabus. There was fear in my mind that if I failed the exam I had to drop one more year to complete the 12th standard.

Explain how it turned out well.
I was very nervous on the final day and once decided to not sit in the exam. But my teacher supported and motivated me and tried to increase my confidence level. She told me to take the risk and sit the exam. When the final results were declared, I was shocked to see that I got maximum marks in that subject. I am really grateful to my teacher for motivating me and telling me that it is very important to take risks in life if you want to achieve bigger things in this life.
