Model Answer 1

What was the reason for visiting the hospital?

People go to the doctor or hospital when they are ill. Hence, such visits are never fun. I can still clearly recall how I detested having to go to the doctor as a child for shots. This essay is about a recent time when I had to visit a doctor. Since I moved to a different city, things have undergone a significant transformation. Health was the last thing that came as my preference. I am aware that this cannot go on indefinitely, but I was working two shifts to make ends meet. I used to be unable to find the time to exercise or maintain a balanced diet.

How did you feel at the moment?

It once happened that after a few hours of having my lunch, I started feeling a tingling sensation in my stomach which promptly elevated into severe pain followed by diarrhoea. It was so extreme that I had to immediately look for the nearest doctor available in my locality. I took a painkiller and rushed to the doctor’s clinic.

How was the experience at the hospital?

Looking at my condition, I was immediately directed to the doctor whose appointment I took. He asked a few questions and upon enquiry, he hinted that I might have caught food poisoning. I was asked to take some tests and was also given some medications. I felt much better after taking the pills. I returned home and ate some yoghurt to ease the condition of my stomach. Since I used to eat only one meal, I would order twice the serving to eat it the next day too in order to save some time. We all know how unhealthy it is to eat outside food. There is no guarantee about the freshness of the food that we are eating. On top of that, I developed a habit of storing them in the fridge and eating them continuously for two days. Probably that took a toll on my health.

Explain the treatment given to you to help you feel better

It took me two days to completely recover from it. I had to take leave from work and prepare a bland diet for myself for those two days. I learnt more about some of the easiest recipes to cook. From that day on I have started cooking for myself as much as possible since I do not want another visit to the doctor.

What was the reason for visiting the hospital?

Even if they are not frequent, doctor visits are still fresh in people's minds. I've never had many trips to the doctor since I take good care of myself and avoid becoming sick. But one trip to the hospital still occupies a permanent residence in my memory, and I'm going to share it with you today. I developed a severe cold a few months ago as a result of the temperature change. Every year when the gloomy winter envelops the earth's brilliance, I typically experience that.

How did you feel at the moment?

I was well prepared for it with my concoctions that work like magic. However, even after 3 days, I did not see any improvement this time. Instead, I started having a mild fever with body aches. This was not familiar to how previous colds have been.

How was the experience at the hospital?

As I was aware of increasing cases of Corona, I immediately consulted a doctor. An instant RTPCR test was conducted and the result came out positive. I wondered what possibly could have been the cause as I mostly stay indoors. I straight away quarantined myself and followed every instruction given by the doctor. I was so scared about my parents as they had been in direct contact with me. I requested them to get tested too and to my relief, their reports were negative.

Explain the treatment given to you to help you feel better

Last week I had an office party to celebrate the foundation day of our organisation. Many people had attended it and most probably I might have contracted the virus in that gathering. I recovered completely after a week and was welcomed back to my normal life. The experience of visiting the doctor panicked me but I tried to not lose my composure and kept following the suggestions given by the doctor. I have tried to do some physical workouts too and started taking immunity booster drinks as well to prevent any future visits to the hospital.

Model Answer 3

What was the reason of visiting the hospital?

For those who are unwell, a hospital is a blessing. However, individuals who get a disease can take refuge in a hospital and recover under the supervision of qualified medical professionals. Good health is necessary to avoid any form of a hospital visit. I'm going to talk about my visit to a hospital today because it completely altered how I felt about the setting.

It was last year when my mother noticed a small bump on her neck. Although it did not hurt, we couldn’t figure out why it even grew in the first place. I contacted the nearest hospital to schedule a visit to an oncologist as I was scared about the lump being the beginning of a tumour.

How did you feel at the moment?

I was directed to Doctor Anshuman who was really friendly in nature. He checked my mother and asked her a few questions- the most important being if she really wanted to get it removed through an operation. We were positive as we did not want any kind of medical condition to arise in future due to the lump. We got a date for the surgery and were informed about certain tests that needed to be done for the same. While I was waiting for the tests to be concluded, I noticed so many cancer patients.

How was the experience at the hospital?

A few whose mouths had been badly impacted by the disease, another whose hair had fallen completely and was undergoing chemotherapy. Most of them were in wheelchairs and were carried by the porters in and around the floors. It compelled me to ponder that hospital is indeed a wonderful place as it gives people a second chance at life.

Explain the treatment given to you to help you feel better

Earlier I used to think that hospitals are places for sick people but now, I think these are the places where the magic happens. People come out of surgery rooms mostly unconscious but when they gain consciousness, it is a different world for them. A new life awaits them and that couldn’t have been possible without the endless efforts of the doctors. My mother successfully got operated on within a week and we all now live freely without stressing about any kind of what-ifs.
