Model Answer 1

What you were doing ?

We finally moved from Chennai to our hometown. We had gathered a large number of items because we had lived in Chennai for a while.

When this was ?

In actuality, we began packing our belongings a few weeks prior to the move and sent a significant number of things through a company that provided this service. Numerous items, including a gas stove, fans, a cooker, a television, computers, clothes, and other items, were still in our possession. We were against sending them in advance because this was the equipment we used every day. We therefore decided to do it the day we leave.

Why you had to hurry ?

We had to arrive at the train station by 9 am because we had a train in the morning. Despite the fact that the railway station was about an hour's drive away, we all woke up at one in the morning. We underestimated how much time the packing would take. Even with the assistance of our friends, there was still a lot of packing to do, so we found ourselves rushing through it all. We were very stressed out throughout the entire process and held ourselves accountable for not acting sooner. Actually, we were only able to pack a few necessities before we left. We had to entrust our friends with the care of the rest.

Explain how you felt at that time

We did successfully make it to the train station on time, but on the entire way there we kept blaming ourselves for the screwup. Since I am not good at finishing things quickly, I now hesitate before waiting until the last minute.

Model Answer 2

What you were doing ?

I am going to talk about a time when I was working at a previous job and I had to rush to get ready for a trip with some colleagues.

When this was ?

It was around two years ago on a holiday. A colleague from our department offered to drive a group of us who needed to catch an early bus to the bus depot.

Why you had to hurry ?

My colleague had asked me to keep an eye out for his car so that he would not have to ring my doorbell. I was expected to be ready and waiting to be picked up from my home at 20:00. I had a problem because I had been watching a movie for too long. At Eight pm, my doorbell rang.

Explain how you felt at that time

When I realized what had happened, I jumped out of bed and sped through getting dressed. I quickly finished packing and threw on my shoes without tying the laces properly. I then got my bag and coat and walked out of the house. When the doorbell rang and I looked at the time, I still vividly recall feeling panic and fear as I realized that my co-workers were waiting outside. Then, I felt so ashamed because it was clear that I had not been ready in time as I left my house and walked towards the waiting car.

Model Answer 3

What you were doing ?

I can still clearly recall the day when I hurried for my second interview for my job in the current company I am being employed at. I was working in a company and this happened while I was about to join another company.

When this was ?

I honestly do not remember the day specifically, but it was in January of 2014. I applied for this job while I was still working at my previous job, so I occasionally had to reschedule my workload to attend the recruitment programme.

Why you had to hurry ?

When I asked my old boss for a day off for the first interview's test round, it seemed good, but I struggled with the second interview. I figured I could make the interview because we had a crucial meeting with a partner that day in the morning and it did not start until 12:00. However, the meeting went longer than anticipated, and it did not end until around 14:00.

Explain how you felt at that time

I was extremely disappointed at this point, but I decided to call the recruiter to see if I could still participate in the interview before completely giving up. Thankfully, He said I could if I arrived before 14:30 PM. There were only 30 minutes left, and the interview location was 30 kilometers away. I quickly removed my motorcycle from the garage and, without first getting my boss's approval, drove to the location of the interview. Even though I cannot recall the speed, I appeared at the interview at around 14:30. I have been at my current job for almost two years, but remembering the interview from that day still makes me smile.
