Model Answer 1

Who was it?

Each day is a brand-new day. Every day brings us new encounters with people from diverse walks of life. Some develop into close friends, some into foes, and some develop into members of the family. In my life, I've met lots of people. Lt. Mukul Sir was one such individual I encountered while I was a college student.

Where did you meet?

He was a retired professor in our college, and he was in his 70’s. I met him in my junior college while attending his psychology class in 11th standard.

When was it?

It was most probably in the 3rd week of my college. I was a bit disturbed during those days as I was new to adjusting to the environment. It was Thursday. Mukul Sir taught Psychology in the second half. It’s a fact that attending classes after having lunch becomes a bit tiresome. At 1.30 pm, he entered our classroom for the very first time. As he was a senior most professor who served as a guest faculty in our college, he was a down-to-earth person. He was a man of few words. He had a very high intellect and taught his students with such precision that the new concepts of psychology were quite clear to them.

How was your experience?

As I was a very introverted person, I couldn’t approach him directly. But the way he taught his students with such dedication at old age was quite appreciable. I was inspired by him and thought about how one could be so active and influential at such an age. I realized the willpower and enthusiasm are primary assets of human life to engage in productive work. Mukul Sir was a man of wit and simplicity. He is a man of inspiration for me.

Model Answer 2

Who was it?

I never engage in conversation with strangers I frequently come across in my daily life since I am an introverted person. I enjoy observing people from a distance without engaging them. However, I don't hesitate to approach strangers when it comes to my work and studies. I want to discuss about a new acquaintance whose work I found to be impressive. Holibon was the name of the woman. I addressed her as Sister Holibon.

Where did you meet?

She was a Nun, and also a supervisor by profession. I met her at an NGO for Child Rights in Guwahati. It was in June 2019, that I completed my graduation and wanted to do an internship in the social sector. The Orphanage has five centers in different places in the city. The administrative body allotted me to the one that was full of 35 teenage girls. Sister Holibon looked after them.

When was it?

On 12 June 2019, I went to the Orphanage to give voluntary teaching to the girls. Sister Holibon was the one whom I approached for the first time and showed my appointment letter. She was a kind-hearted woman with a very welcoming nature. After my classes got over, she used to talk to me and ask if I had found some problems with the students.

How was your experience?

I was pleased by her positive attitude as she had to deal with every hurdle she faced in her daily life while dealing with a group of young girls. She encouraged me to keep up my good work of helping helpless girls who work as a daily dose of motivation. She is a woman with a strong personality who is serving society with no selfish motives.

Model Answer 3

Who was it?

I have a tiny group of friends, thus I'm not excellent at making new ones. I have a great group of friends. I enjoy discussing my views and feelings with them. They are my true pals, on whom I can trust and cling when I'm in need. Each of them has made a significant enough impact on my life to merit my love.

Where did you meet?

Out of all, I want to share my first meeting experience with a friend whom I met during my university days, which became very close to my heart. Her name was Riya Dutta. She was my age, and we were classmates. And I shared the same hostel with her. I met her for the first time in my Department of the University.

When was it?

It was on the 2nd day of my university life I was confused and tired after completing my registration process. As I was new to the environment, I felt lost. I looked for another friend to return to the hostel. She was the one who approached me first and said to me “Where are you from?” I replied to her question with a smile and asked her too. Her face was full of innocence and she had a very childlike nature.

How was your experience?

Gradually, we shared our experiences and started spending time with each other. We had many similarities that made us share a strong bond of friendship. She was a very straightforward person with a genuine heart to understand people. The way she visualized things always inspired me to broaden my horizon and look at life from a broader perspective. Her simplicity works as the adornment of her life.
