What you waited for?

Previous year I spent a night with my cousins and we enjoyed each other's company so much that we stayed an extra night. I had forgotten that my birthday was approaching, but it wasn't until two days before that I recognised it. So, once I was out of the room and heard my cousins talking about something, as soon as I entered the room, they changed the subject.

Why was it special?

The communications and discussions among the cousins seemed like they are planning for something and it took me towars the thinking that they might have some plans for my birthday in a few hours. The birthday of mine is the occasion for which I was feeling extremely fortuitous and happy and waited long for my birthday. Finally, my birthday dawned, and I was still waiting for the surprise. Nobody wished me till the sunset, so I assumed it was part of their plan or a surprise. Although the sun began to fall, and time flew by as I waited for the surprise. Then they send me out to buy some almost useless items. I was thinking the entire time that they must be carrying out the plan, which is why they sent me out to acquire these stuff. Explain how you felt when you were waiting?

During the evening, I returned to my place and everything seemed normal like everyday. There was no arrangrement or groundbreak for something and I thought they might don’t have any plans for my birthday. So I pretended to be unaware of their scheme. We were all sitting together when I got a video call from my folks wishing me a happy birthday. All my cousins pretended like they don’t have any plans for me and it seemed like that my birth date is even unknown to them. And I learned that they were not aware of it. I was devastated, but they made the best of a horrible situation. For my birthday, they bought a gorgeous cake and some tasty meals. Even all of them were able to get me a wonderful gift, and it was during this time that I forgot everything and enjoyed myself with them.

What you waited for?

Certain special events sometimes are placed at a higher pedestal in our lives. Also, before the actual event, we get super-excited. I remember an incident when I was in twelfth class and with my friends, I was discussing some important topics. Suddenly, the head boy came to our class with an announcement of a yearly trip for us. The entire environment of the classroom changed from a mild discussion to everyone shouting with excitement.

Why was it special?

I planned with my friends to go on the trip. And the day before the trip, I was really excited. However, permission from our parents was yet to be received. I was happy because it was the first time I was about to go on a trip with my friends. I was continuously thinking about what would happen on the trip, how exciting or would it be, four days with friends enjoying endlessly. I didn't have control over myself and waited for the day. A day before the trip, it was hard to sleep for me and I ensured that I set up around five-six alarms to be on time.

Explain how you felt when you were waiting?

Finally, in the morning I woke up before my alarm and got ready for the trip. Everyone in my family was so shocked to see me ready in the early morning. Then, I went to my school and saw literally no one, I thought I was late and called up my friends. They told me that I was way too early for the trip. Soon everyone arrived and I was not able to control myself and my emotions. Each one of us was ready for the day. The time flew by and in a few hours, we were at our destination. The place was like a dreamland. It was packed with lots of adorable things to nurture. I felt like being in the realm of nature and the environment boosted me up and the excitement for the journey gradually increased. After reaching that place, finally, I felt peace in my heart and I captured that day in my mind as the best day.

What you waited for?

My parent's anniversary falls on 7 March, and in 2019 it will be their 20th anniversary. So, I made plans with my siblings to surprise my parents with a grand party in a decent restaurant. We all had certain savings to throw a party on their anniversary. We informed all our relatives and father's friends in advance and asked them not to reveal anything to our parents.

Why was it special?

They were not aware of this plan, on their anniversary we usually wish them at 12 in the night only. But, this time with a twist we pretended as if we didn't have any idea about their anniversary. The entire day went on like this and we didn't wish for them. I was excited to see their shocked faces, but here the main task was to get my parents dressed up for their anniversary party. Now I have to convince them to dress nicely and I still remember that we said that it was my friend's engagement and he has invited us. Finally, my parents got convinced and they got ready for the day. Ultimately, I ensured that everyone was well-prepared in advance. As soon as my parents entered the venue and saw everyone at that party. At first, they were not able to realize what was happening, and then after checking out the entire thing they felt very happy. Obviously, since I organized the whole thing with the help of my siblings, all of us were proud too. Afterward, I received a lot of appreciation from everyone because of planning a surprise anniversary party.

Explain how you felt when you were waiting?

I know it was their day, but I was more excited since I was going to give them a surprise party. Also, I was not sure whether they would like it or not, so I wanted everything to be well-organized. After the party when we were going back to our place, I questioned myself as to how I managed to do it. Then, I explained everything to him and I consider that day to be the best of my life. Since I saw a proud and happy look on my parent's faces.
