Model Answer 1

When was it?

In life, everyone makes errors. These errors are frequently inadvertent. If we made a mistake, whether on purpose or accidentally, we should accept our apology. I always make an effort to apologise for my mistakes, and I also expect others to do the same. I can recall one instance where someone apologised to me. It took place a month ago.

Who was the person?

I've had an automobile in mind for a very long time. I used the money I had been accumulating for the last two years to purchase the vehicle. I was asked whether my buddy may use my automobile for a while. I told him to take excellent care of it, but I agreed. He pledged to operate it safely and with extreme caution. It was already after 10:00 p.m. when he was due to return in the evening. Around 11 o'clock at night, he came back, and I was horrified to find the car had been damaged from behind. The rear bumper was completely broken.

Why did this person apologize?

He said that as he was snarled in traffic, the automobile in behind of him simply slammed into him. When the signal was green, he could not move the automobile forward. This led to the event. He wasn't trying to wreck my automobile, at all. I estimated that fixing the automobile would cost me a sizable sum of money because it had sustained significant damage. He felt terrible about not taking care of the automobile and was really sorry. He expressed regret for being careless several times. And he promised me he would fix it the moment he got up the next morning. I had no intention of making him pay for my car's repairs and losses. However, he insisted on letting him do so.

Explain how you felt about it.

While I did feel bad for him, I was also quite saddened by the fact that my automobile had been wrecked. He accompanied me to the mechanic the following day, and fortunately the damage was not severe or expensive to cure. He once more apologised and promised to be more watchful going forward.

Model Answer 2

When was it?

I would like to talk about my friend, Emir, who apologized to me for spilling ink on my assignment. Emir is my best friend. He is 22 years old and smart.

Who was the person?

It so happened that two days before our pre-board exams of +2, we had to submit our physics assignment. We both had prepared our assignments with great effort and were very happy with the result. Rohan had bought a new ink pen and was trying to write his name on the cover page of the assignment. To start writing with the pen, he shook it hard and the whole ink fell on my assignment, which was also lying there. All my hard work was wasted. That made me really angry and I was worried that redoing those assignments would disrupt my study schedule.

Why did this person apologize?

He also felt bad and said sorry to me. I could see from his facial expressions that he was sorry. But, my heart was sinking. But I also knew that I would have to write my assignment all over again. Rohan stayed up with me the whole night and helped me in preparing my assignment all over again.

Explain how you felt about it.

The next day we both submitted our assignments and got very good grades from our teacher.

My friend tried to cover up for his mistake by first saying sorry and then helping me. We are still best friends.

Model Answer 3

When was it?

To err is human. I always apologize whenever I commit/make a mistake. Here I’m going to mention a time when another person apologized to me.

Who was the person?

This incident happened a few weeks back at my cousin’s wedding. Because of some reason, my uncle had to go away from the city. I decided to drop him at the station in my car. I asked for instructions to the station from my father but sadly forgot it. My uncle and I, weren’t aware of the route. I called my father to ask about the directions. But he didn’t take the call. Maybe he didn’t hear his phone ringing.

Why did this person apologize?

He had to reach the station on time, so I decided to take help from Google maps. My uncle suggested asking the local people, but they were also not giving clear instructions. So, I followed the route suggested by Google Maps.

Explain how you felt about it.

My uncle started shouting at me because he doesn’t have much trust in technology. But, we reached station 20mins before the time of departure of the train. On seeing this, my uncle realized his mistake and apologized to me. He said that it had been very rude of him to shout at me and he should start believing the younger people and their new ways of doing things. I didn’t mind his shouting but was happy that he decided to alter his behavior.
