Model Answer 1

Who you disagreed with?

Conflicts, in my opinion, often happen with those close to you. I recently had a fight with two of my closest friends. We were setting for a lengthy journey to Singapore. We spent days discussing our trip to Singapore. I suggested that to avoid disagreements over decisions, we should go on vacation with fewer people. Additionally, because it is difficult to meet everyone's needs. Also, it will be more enjoyable and we won't have to be worried to carry a whole group with us.

What the disagreement was?

Since it would be safer as well as more fun to go in groups, my best friend recommended that we do so. I agreed with his advice. Even though it made sense, I didn't want to be convinced because I didn't want to endanger my life for so many people in such an unfamiliar place. More people meant more chaos and more responsibility. While we will waste more of our time on finding and keeping the group together. It also meant that harm to one will cause responsibility to fall on us toi keep everyone safe. I did not agree with the viewpoint of traveling with a large number of people.

How it happened and explain?

After a series of disagreements and fights, I started to feel unsatisfied and less effective at expressing my emotions. So that evening, I left him there. It was not that I left them because I didn't agree with him. It was because I didn't want to say any hurtful things which might further hurt the feelings. Also, fighting and showing anger will further affect the friendship. So, it was better to just leave and stay calm for a while.

How this disagreement was resolved?

I left to think about this before returning home. I went to him the next morning to accept his offer and to make up for my previous rudeness. I attempted to express my point of view as well, and I think he did. We both agreed that we will take more people but not so many. This concluded that we were now a group of six members taking their own responsibility. Also, six members were easier to manage than more members. So, we both agreed on each other’s points and compromised. The trip was the bestest we all enjoyed it a lot. We had a great time together and our friendship grew even more.

Model Answer 2

Who you disagreed with?

When I was in high school I had a lot of friends. I was an extrovert. I loved making friends and meeting new people. But as I grew up I had fewer friends. I don’t have people to disagree with but there is an instance that I would like to share from my school days. It was with one of my friends.

What the disagreement was?

I loved reading books. My favorite pastime was reading books. As a kid, I was very good at mathematics. I was popular in school for these habits. One evening my friend came home from school as he wanted some help in the profit and loss chapter of mathematics. He stayed, and we gossiped and helped him with his problems as well.

How it happened and explain?

But later when he was setting out for home, he wanted 2-3 books of mine. The disagreement began with him when he wanted to take the novel to his home for reading. The novel named - The Tragedy by Dreiser was his first choice.

How this disagreement was resolved?

I tried to make him understand that I have started reading the novel, but we argued for about 15 minutes. Finally, I had to give up on his stubbornness and let him take the book.

Model Answer 3

Who you disagreed with?

Back in college, we had lots of project work. I was pursuing management studies. Hence he had 4-5 projects every semester. For the project, we were divided into a team of 3-4 people to work on a simulation project in our third semester. The simulation worked in each group.

What the disagreement was?

There would be a class representative who would run a shoe production company on the internet. We had to make decisions as the simulation market changed and each group’s performance would be compared weekly. At the end of the semester, we would have to prepare a presentation on our simulation project.

How it happened and explain?

We settled to meet each other once a week to work and check the progress of the project. During that time sometimes we would discuss urgent matters over mails or zoom calls. Despite keeping our integrity intact, a member named Thomas got offended as he left. My decision was not correct.

How this disagreement was resolved?

After a heated discussion and disagreement, I finally said that you must consider my decision as it is the best decision for the team. Though he remained silent I think he understood.
