Describe a Skill You Can Teach Other People Cue Card

How did you learn it?

When I was young, around 15 years old, I developed a passion for cooking. My mother always used to make delicious food at home. Every alternate day, my mother used to try new dishes. She even has her own business providing lunch to different people in offices and even preparing desserts like cakes for birthdays. I developed my interest in cooking since then. I am fond of making desserts and snacks in particular and I have learnt it from my mother. She made me learn how to prepare different food, the key ingredients important and hence, with enough practice I learnt it to take it up professionally.

How can you teach others this skill?

Considering that I have learnt cooking from my mother and I also took professional training while studying Hotel Management as I wanted to become a chef. I can take up more responsibilities by opening my own cooking classes whereby I have been able to enhance the cooking of those who want to learn. I would also be able to undertake online cooking classes for those who would not be able to join face to face classes.

How do you feel about this skill?

Cooking has given me an experience for a lifetime. It is not just my skill or a hobby which I pursue as a way of relaxing but it is now my profession. I have dreamt of becoming a Chef since quite long and I am glad that I have been able to expand my interest into my area of professional life. This skill has allowed me to work and learn from wonderful chefs in the country and definitely would take me far. 

How did you learn it?

Writing is a skill that I developed when I started to write my own diary when I was around 7-8 years old. I was able to learn creative writing skills from the internet in online classes after I completed 12th. I was able to do different types of writing from creative writing for website related content, advertising and marketing. Further I learnt how to use different kinds of words, expand my vocabulary and even the style of writing. I worked for two years in a content writing agency, writing different types of website articles and blogs. Further, I also opened my own blog to write up my own stories and help others learn about it as well.

How can you teach others this skill?

While I love to write and my skills are developing everyday, I can even teach others to develop their writing skills. In order to be an efficient writer, one also needs to be quite creative and needs to have enough imagination. I would be able to teach others by giving them classes online, write up blogs to provide others tips to develop writing skills and ensure that small videos could be developed.

How do you feel about this skill?

I feel quite liberated and confident with my writing skills. I feel that I am able to express my thoughts and ideas in the form of writing which makes me feel extremely happy. I feel when i write something it empowers people, it helps them learn and it even expands the horizon of a person to excel in their knowledge. 

How did you learn it?

I took up classes to learn guitar. I had a tutor who is one of the best teachers who teaches guitar and other instruments in his own studio. I was able to start from scratch from learning the chords to playing different kinds of music. I also used to participate in different programs in school, competitions where I used to play the guitar and even sing at times. I was able to enhance my skills and learn more about music from taking up the classes. I developed my own band from school and used to perform during different events. I also participated in events in college while with my school friends I was able to conduct several gigs which made me earn popularity and even improve my skills.

How can you teach others this skill?

I can teach the skills of playing guitar by taking up face to face classes in my own home for a batch of five people at the latest. I could also teach the skill in terms of providing online classes thereby being able to enhance the skill of others. I could also provide tips by making smaller videos for social media while adding tips for enhancing skills.

How do you feel about this skill?

Playing guitar has been my passion and learning the skill has helped me to become more efficient and popular. Teaching others the same skill helps me improve my own as well as help others learn the form of art quite enormously. The skill helps me teach others which makes me feel proud as a musician. It makes me feel extremely delighted that I can pass on this level of expertise to others who are willing to pursue or learn about music.
