Model Answer 1

What the skill is ?

I believe that when it comes to many subjects that we as young people sometimes find difficult to understand, elder folks are the most knowledgeable and experienced. Today, I'd want to discuss a culinary skill I picked up from my grandfather. He's an amazing chef who enjoys preparing a wide variety of dishes, which I greatly appreciate.

Who did you learn it from ?

Before the day I spent my summer vacations at my grandfather's house, I had never been interested in cooking. I vividly remember my grandfather calling me out into the kitchen on a gloomy afternoon while I was dozing off on a couch and asking for assistance.

How did you learn it ?

I was so excited that I asked him if he could show me what he was cooking because the meal smelled so good. He answered okay right away and told me about the spices and other components (such red chili powder, clove, and turmeric) as well as some fresh and nutritious green veggies. Under his tutelage, I thoroughly loved picking up this talent because, in contrast to other people, he was very understanding of my mistakes and made sure I didn't make them again.

And, how do you feel about it ?

Since then, I've become really interested in cooking, and I enjoy making homemade treats that I learned from dad for special occasions as well as for others. I genuinely believe that getting to spend some quality time with him in addition to learning this important skill was a joyful experience for me. I will always be appreciative to my grandfather for training me and assisting me in adding this ability to my repertoire because it truly made me happy.

Model Answer 2

What the skill is ?

It's true that there is a wealth of information that elderly folks may impart to us. I want to discuss about the gardening skills that I learned from my grandfather here. My grandfather has actually been farming for the majority of his life; he is currently about 70 years old. He can no longer visit his fields because we moved to the city, but he spends much of his time gardening.

Who did you learn it from ?

I became interested in him when I saw him doing this and asked him to show me how to take care of plants. I now give my grandfather an hour every evening to assist him in this endeavor.

I have to admit that he is quite knowledgeable about gardening; he exposed me to a wide variety of plants and vegetables that are commonly cultivated in homes.

How did you learn it ?

He also gave me information on the nutrients in soil and how home garbage can organically increase fertility. Not many people appreciate fresh veggies grown at home, but we do grow seasonal vegetables ourselves. Making flower pots out of plastic bottles and other materials is one thing that piqued my interest in this hobby even more because he never throws anything out. We now have over two hundred pots like this that he uses to plant seasonal flowers and herbs in old plastic bottles and containers, adding to the beauty of our yard.

And, how do you feel about it ?

Spending time with him not only teaches me about gardening but also improves my understanding of the history and culture. I owe my grandfather for teaching me useful skills that enable me to maintain my physical and mental health.

It's an engaging game that helps grandparents and their grandchildren bond. Teaching your kids traditional dances will help them master new skills and keep your loved one active. My grandmother's acquaintance resides nearby. She is an exceptional dancer, particularly in the traditional styles.

How did you learn it ?

Our college principal assigned us the duty of doing a folk dance performance at the celebration during our senior year of college last year. These are new dancing forms, however I am familiar with many others. I'm aware of the titles of the traditional dance forms, but I haven't attempted them due to their extreme difficulty. Traditional dances need to be extremely talented and labor-intensive, with expressive facial movements.

And, how do you feel about it ?

Dancing required a lot of concentration and hard work, so I was usually exhausted afterward. The director of my college was happy with my performance on the day of the reception. Since it was only possible with her help, I was ecstatic. I never stopped learning after this, and I'm still learning traditional dances from her today and might in the future. My grandmother and her companion received my gratitude for their assistance.
