Model Answer 1

What was the achievement?

When I graduated from high school, it was the first big achievement I’d experienced. In the run-up to my graduation, I’d been working day and night to prepare for my final exams. I’d already received my coursework assignments, and I had submitted them long before the deadline.

When did it happen?

I felt stressed while preparing for my exams. I was worried about not achieving good grades; this made me work even harder. These tests would determine the universities that I would be willing to accept, and a good university would require a good IELTS score to boost my career. Surprisingly, the school did not organize a graduation ceremony for us. A lot of the students were upset about this, and many parents were quite unhappy that their children wouldn’t be able to celebrate their achievements.

How did you celebrate?

The school claimed they didn’t have it in their budget. A handful of friends and I raised enough money to rent a venue close to the school. Went spent a lot of time organizing it and asked our parents for help.

How did you feel about it?

On the big night, we held our own mock graduation ceremony and had more fun than we would have had otherwise. A few of our teachers came too and we all spent the rest of the evening partying.

Model Answer 2

What was the achievement?

There have been many moments in my life where I have celebrated achievements. One such celebration that comes to my mind is when I was preparing for my entrance examination after secondary school.

When did it happen?

It was almost about 5 years ago. I had to give my all-India entrance exam. The results were supposed to be declared 2 months from the date of examination. I got admission to the college of my choice. I felt extremely happy and called my parents to give them the good news.

How did you celebrate?

In the evening when I got back home I saw my parents throw me a surprise party. I saw my friends at the party, they came to my home to congratulate me on my big achievement. Seeing all of them made me a little emotional and I felt overwhelmed.

How did you feel about it?

We all went to my favorite restaurant to have dinner. After dinner, my friends went back home and I came back with my parents. Towards the end of that beautiful evening, I found that my hard work paid off, and I was highly moved by the appreciation given to me by my parents and my friends. I was looking forward to a new phase of my life and I knew I would give it my best shot.

Model Answer 3

What was the achievement?

Well, I have had many achievements in life so far. But I want to share the experience of celebration when I achieved a new milestone to make the event memorable. It was back in 2015, my final exams for the Nursing diploma were just over and I had a sigh of relief. However, I was anxious to know my result and was waiting eagerly for it.

When did it happen?

The result was to be announced 25 days after the exams. Actually in the first two years, I did pretty well and I scored 76 % in both years. I am not the kind of person who can sit, spend hours studying, and try to memorize things. But in the third and final year, just a fortnight before the final exams were about to start, I fell sick.

How did you celebrate?

I wanted to prepare more and score better in the final year but my health did not allow me to do much of it. Fortunately, I fully recovered from the flu 2-3 days before the exams and I revised whatever I could. I was not hoping to get a very good percentage in the 3rd year but finally, when the result was announced online.

How did you feel about it?

I was taken aback with elation to find that I had scored 80 % in the final year and the overall percentage was 77.3 %. My father wanted me to score above 75% overall and I succeeded in doing so. My father took us to dinner at his favorite restaurant that night. That was the best celebration of my life that I enjoyed with my two favorite people.
