What was it about?

I'm a development studies student at Allahabad University in India. I was invited to take part in a one-seminar on smoke control issues by my department. This seminar took place in New Delhi, and it's been a fascinating journey for me.

Who participated in it?

The lecture was set for the following day, so I left for New Delhi that very same day. The purpose of this seminar was to inform the attendees about various aspects of tobacco control in India. The seminar was planned with the possibility of participation from global tobacco control organisations and regional NGOs with a long history of advocacy on the subject. This session favourably enlightened the concerned attendees about the adverse impact of tobacco usage on the human body. Additionally, it discussed the damaging effects of tobacco on the nation's economy, health, and population.

How long the seminar/workshop was?

I learned about various harmful effects of tobacco usage and how it affects the neural systems of living things from the presentation. Tobacco usage includes smoking, which is a highly difficult addiction that is difficult to kick. The session started at 10 am, then from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm, there was a break. For the visitors' lunch, a buffet with a variety of foods was set up.

Explain you attended this seminar/workshop?

One must be knowledgeable about the nation's development initiatives in order to study development. The course is structured so that students are aware of the problems with general development facing the country. Government and non-government organisations are working to address tobacco control, which has been India's most difficult and urgent issue for a number of years.

Model Answer 2

What was it about?

I had to attend a workshop in Singapore recently. Repairing desktop PCs was the focus of the workshop. It has been a tremendous experience and opportunity for me. I’ll provide a quick description of what happened and I hope you appreciate hearing about it.

Who participated in it?

In Singapore, I have been working for a firm that sells computer parts and software. I was hired for the job role of hardware engineer by the firm. I was required to fix PCs that had been destroyed in the store. As a result, the authorities considered sending for a training and learning session that addressed how to troubleshoot all sorts of computer issues. The workshop covered all of the potential issues that might arise when using a computer. Thus, it was a fun experience for me and I got to learn so many new things.

How long the seminar/workshop was?

Other computer troubleshooting professionals were also there to attend the workshop. It seemed like a higher level of education for the trained professionals. All the participants that were present for the workshop had the urge to learn. The workshop registration process is really complex. But I didn't have to be concerned about it. Everything was set up for me by my firm. This season had 30 participants, although the workshop had almost 100 persons enrolled. In the coming season, they will be gradually admitted.

Explain you attended this seminar/workshop?

The workshop was a residential workshop that lasted usually for five complete days. The organizing committee has taken care of all the aspects such as accommodation, meals, training materials and other relevant matters.

Model Answer 3

What was it about?

Few months ago, I participated in a seminar that was organized by the city council to create awareness among people. This awareness was to be created against the daily usage of water by individuals. The seminar was held in the month of December and I was invited to the seminar by the organizers. This was possible because one of my friends was an active member of the city welfare committee. Thus, it was easier for me to be a part of the seminar.

Who participated in it?

The seminar revolved around informing and requesting individuals to use water in a sensible manner. There have been major issues faced by the city authority towards unexpected increase pof water demand. There have been reports that established more than 20% of water can be saved if people limit and contained their use of water.

How long the seminar/workshop was?

The seminar was organized in the evening on a large open field. There were around 100 people present at the seminar. The seminar began with a speech from the chairman of the city council and other guests.

Explain you attended this seminar/workshop?

I witnessed the whole of the seminar from the front row and watched the slides that were presented in the seminar. A rally was organized in our neighborhood and I walked with the people and held a placard that said ‘Save water, save the future.
