Model Answer 1

Where it was?

My favorite time was my school days. The life lessons that I have learned were from my school. I studied in a single school from class LKG to class 10th. The name of the school that I studied in was St. Joseph’s Convent School. The location of my school is on the main road in Phagwara.

What it was like?

The infrastructure of the school looks very beautiful and magnificent which is something to applaud about. When I recall my time, I can look back at some extremely fond memories of my time spent there. The infrastructure comprises gigantic rooms and there are a lot of rooms in the school as well. This also includes a separate wing for primary classes. Other extracurricular rooms like the library, the computer lab, the science lab, the canteen, two big playgrounds and a beautiful lawn adorned with flowering plants are also present in the campus. The school is affiliated to the ICSE board.

What you learned there?

Our school was extremely efficient in academics but apart from it, there were a lot of extra curricular activities that took place in the school campus. I was an active student and also a member of the dance class. Every year, we had an extravagant annual function. Two months prior to it, we used to start preparing for the annual function because it required a lot of effort and practice. Our dance choreography also began at the same time as well which we used to do in the zero period. After our school got over in the afternoon, we used to play badminton and cricket. The principal of our school was very strict. For instance, if we didn’t wear the correct uniform or did not complete our homework, we used to be severely punished. I remember an incident where once, I did not bring my homework notebook and was punished for the same.

How you felt about it?

It made me feel very ashamed of myself back then but now when I think of it, I look at them to be the best days of my life. I have a lot of friends from my school time with whom I am still in touch which makes me stay connected to my roots too.

Model Answer 2

Where it was?

School is the place where the most child spent their childhood. When we look back and talk about our childhood, the only time that can be recalled very vividly and happily is school time. I was at the Convent of Jesus and Mary located in Dehradun. It is regarded to be one of the most prestigious and the most revered schools of Dehradun.

What it was like?

Even after all these years, I can efficiently recall the exquisite infrastructure of my school which deserves commendable appreciation. At the entrance, there was a huge church after which lay the beautiful garden on one side with a warm welcome from seasonal flowers. Through this floral path, all the students walked towards the main building. It felt like one was walking down a floral aisle. Because of the lush green environment that our school had, everyone felt a sense of calm while walking towards the main building each morning. Both the junior and senior section had a separate building between which there was a huge playground as well. The playground consisted of swings, monkey bars and even see-saws. I love swings and therefore, I made it a routine to reach early for school every day so that I could get a little spare time to spend on swings as well before going to my class.

What you learned there?

Each and every teacher in my school was very loving and caring. All the discipline that I have acquired in my life is something that I dedicate to my schooling. My school was not only focused on the academic achievements but also focused on the all-round development of each and every kid and so the teachers encouraged us to participate in all kinds of extracurricular activities, including dramatics, singing, dancing, etc. Each and every student had a unique personality with extreme responsibility as well.

How you felt about it?

When I look back, I believe I was very fortunate to have attended the school. Everything that I have today, I happily dedicate it to my school.

Model Answer 3

Where it was?

Well, in my perception, Schools are highly significant as it is the place from where students learn the basics of everything, plus it lays the foundation of a better life. Schools only help students to gain fundamental knowledge, but also allow students to interact with other students socially, academically, and emotionally. Indeed, talking about my childhood school makes me nostalgic, as memories related to it would always hold a special place in my life. I did my schooling from St. Joseph’s convent, which was one of the best schools in my locality. Since the school was just a stone’s throw away from my home, my parents were never dependent on school transportation.

What it was like?

I vividly remember my father used to drop me there, perhaps until grade 4th. However, I started to walk along with my friends later. My mom used to tell me that it was one of the oldest schools in the city, besides most of my elder cousins have passed out from there. Though it was a private school, its fees were not that hefty to the pocket.

I got admission there in Nursery and studied there till 10th. Frankly speaking, I don’t remember the number of classrooms it had. Nevertheless, I can say that my school had an enormous three-storied building, including an extensive amount of well-structured ventilated classrooms. It also had all modern amenities, such as a science lab, a computer lab, a small inhouse library, a spacious room for music and dance DMs, a huge playground along with a beautiful backyard full of colourful plants.

What you learned there?

Since it followed the CBSE curriculum, I studied all the subjects like Arts, geography, science, math, and language. 11 Only my school was exceptionally good at education ! also it focused on extracurricular activities. I remember all the teachers were extremely cooperative and well qualified. I feel content that throughout my school, I have learned several moral values along with bookish knowledge.

How you felt about it?

Indeed, I made quite a few good friends and had a whale of a time with them, during and after school. Frankly speaking, it was a salad day, which I would cherish for a lifetime. Everything that I have today, I have learnt from my school. It gives me immense pleasure to say that my bright future was built by my school.
