Describe a Quiet Place Cue Card

How do you know about it?

It is a beautiful lake which offers a splendid view of the sunset. Since my house is on the main street, at times it becomes extremely chaotic and I start yearning for some peace of mind. When I was surfing the internet about peaceful places in the city, I stumbled upon the lake.

How often do you go there?

I love visiting that place and every weekend I manage to take out some time from my busy schedule and spend some time near the lake. I often take a mat, some food and a book with me so that I can enjoy peace and tranquillity while doing what I enjoy the most.

What do you do there?

Hearing the chirping of the birds and watching the beautiful trees and flowers makes me feel energised. Sometimes I chase and play with the squirrels, other times I just enjoy being in the lap of nature.

Explain why you like the place?

I often get new and creative ideas related to work while I spend time over there. I feel that place is where I declutter my brain from the mayhem that burns it constantly. The place has inspired me in ways I could not have thought otherwise. Recently, I started my hands-on painting and have tried to paint a picture of what I witnessed while enjoying the lake view.

A quiet place like that has made me explore a new side of myself. I think everyone should spend some time once in a while in a place that can fill them with a lot of peace, hope and positivity.

How do you know about it?

I came to know about the place when I newly shifted to the city. It was recommended by my neighbour and I soon became fond of that place. It is surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers. Although the name is rose garden, it has other types of flowers too like jasmine, lilies and marigold. Due to the varieties of flowers, it also attracts lots of butterflies and bees. They add to the beauty of that place.

How often do you go there?

I visit the garden every day after I return home from work. Since I get free by 5:30, I often spend an hour in the garden and witness the evening sky admiring the beautiful flowers.

What do you do there?

I witness young children playing in a corner and they fill the garden with more liveliness. However, by 6 pm, their mothers take them home and then complete silence prevails over the garden. It is so calming that even after a hectic day, I feel energised. After going home, I feel enthusiastic to pursue even my hobbies.

Explain why you like the place?

Earlier, I used to feel so exhausted that I would just eat and sleep. I also sometimes read a book in the garden. Sometimes in the garden, some volunteer activities go on and I participate in that as well. While working there or by just spending time I feel I am in the lap of nature. I have also become a voracious reader since I started reading while sitting in the garden. The lush green view and the beauty of nature are what makes me adore this place.

How do you know about it?

The place is farmland bought by my father on the outskirts of the city. It is away from the hustle-bustle of a metropolis. My father purchased this farmland so that all of our family members can come together and spend quality time with each other.

How often do you go there?

During childhood, my uncle and his family too would visit the farmland along with us and we would spend some memorable time in the house. Now that we have grown up and my cousins are working in different cities, it becomes difficult for us to unite.

What do you do there?

However, whenever I find time, which is mostly on the month-end, I run away to my peaceful place. Whenever I go there, I do a lot of activities which range from farming to enjoying a bath in a nearby pond. I feel one with nature in that house. So many trees occupy the large garden and I get to eat fresh organic fruits.

Explain why you like the place?

I am planning to opt for work from home so that I can stay not just for a few days but months in that place while continuing to stay financially independent. I feel extremely motivated to try different things when I visit my farmland. I feel the place has some kind of positive energy that pushes me to keep sailing in the right direction. I feel relaxed whenever I spend time in that place and I feel I can enjoy life and every little moment it offers even more when I am in that place. Due to all these reasons, I am fond of that place and often look for opportunities to stay there.
