What is this thing?

There has been a recent increase in the popularity of portable music systems these days. This lead me to make the decision of purchasing a smart Bluetooth-enabled portable speaker for myself last month. I got it online from a verified seller. It was a fancy blue-colored speaker with ports for charging and earphones or pinned headset. It was a Chinese speaker that fitted exceptionally within my budget. This made me happy with my purchase.

When did you buy it?

I purchased it last month from an online shopping website.

Why you weren't happy with it?

I used it the very next day to play spiritual songs in the morning. As soon as I switched it on, a low battery mode alert came.I plugged it into charging and tried connecting the Bluetooth. The speaker did not catch the range of my devices and it got difficult for me to pair it.

Simultaneously the low battery alert kept beeping. Hence, I left it to charge completely and decided to try connecting with Bluetooth after some time.

After an hour and a half, the battery was charged up to 55%. I was baffled as to how slow the charging process is. So, I started to pair my device with the speaker. After a lot of effort, it finally paired with my device and the speaker battery dropped to 40% while doing this. Even though the speaker was still plugged in for charging.

The speaker hardly worked for half an hour without being plugged into the charging. Thus, it became very difficult to carry it anywhere without the charger. At a volume greater than 10, the speaker's voice would begin cracking and it would be hardly audible below a volume of 30.

How did you react?

I was very dissatisfied with the product and my purchase and decided to return it online. The return policy was not very appealing and was not smooth or hassle-free. But, thankfully I was able to return the product within the product return dates. However, I was lucky that the return policy didn't expire. I decided never to buy electronics without testing them physically multiple times.

I am an active online shopper. It is convenient and I feel like better designs and options are available with a single click. It saves a lot of time and energy in comparison to physically going from store to store to shop. With multiple lucrative offers, it becomes budget-friendly too. Recently I shopped for some clothing from a very renowned online website. It was a blue top with colorful patterns and embroidery of shimmer and lace. And I received it yesterday! But to my despair, the piece was nothing close to what I saw in the picture depicted on the website.

When did you buy it?

I purchased it two weeks ago from an online shopping website.

Why you weren't happy with it?

The model looked breathtaking, but I was left breathless after seeing it. The stitching was pathetic, to begin with, and the finishing was left unfinished. The color was still fine but the measurement - let's not even talk about it. It was nowhere close to the size that I ordered. To my amazement, the size received was double XL but the size that I ordered was medium. I was left baffled.

How did you react?

Often we get so excited to see things from afar and pray with all our might to get it in our customized requirements. But as the saying goes - the grass looks greener on the other side because it is fake and gets true meaning to itself. I was excited to receive my package but with even more excitement. I am waiting for it to process my return request so that I can ship it back to where it came from.

No doubt we get our goodies delivered but at the cost of our patience, money, and emotions and if gone wrong it can completely turn all of it upside down. I would recommend that before clicking the 'buy now option, let us all take a pause. Read everything about it under the description so that when you wait for the parcel. You get the happiness that you desire and not a headache.

What is the thing?

I went along with my father to buy a spare mobile phone for our house. We weren’t looking for an expensive phone but certain necessary features like dual sim capability and an android processor were required. We headed for a nearby showroom of the mobile phone brand OPPO. After looking at various phones and checking everything, we purchased it.

The camera quality was not that impressive but since that was not our primary motive, we did not care much about it. I bought new sims and a back cover for the phone. Along with this, I recharged the phone with unlimited calling and free daily data of 2 GB. I was happy with the purchase as it was a black shiny phone with a big screen. It looked fancy and attractive.

When did you buy it?

I purchased it last summer. I got it physically from a nearby store. I went along with my dad.

Why you weren't happy with it?

For a month the mobile phone worked absolutely fine but soon the troubles started to begin. It started to slow down and hang. The screen started to freeze and would not be reverted back to normal unless and until I would switch the mobile phone off. Even if the phone would be left unused for 2 hours with a full charge, the battery levels would drop down to 65%.

There were no apps running in the background that might have affected the battery's health or tried slowing down its functioning. The touch screen would sometimes become absolutely inactive and while typing, the keypad alphabets would hang a lot and take time. I decided to give it for repair since it was under the warranty period.

How did you react?

I was upset as it had been nearly a month since I had purchased the new mobile phone. After getting it repaired, the performance was somewhat improved. But the mobile phone is still not in perfect condition as it should have been. Recently, I sold a mobile phone on an online site and got a buyer willing to take the devastating product away from me.
