Model Answer 1

What the project was?

My student life was filled with team projects and group assignments which were both fun and tiring at the same time. The fun was majorly meeting up in friends’ houses to discuss the topics assigned to us and how to go about the projects. However, the disagreements and differences in opinions among teammates often led to huge misunderstandings and arguments.

Who else was involved in it?

In the 9th grade, all the students were supposed to present a short English play as part of the English assignment. The students were required to work in a group of five. So, along with four of my friends, I decided to present a play demonstrating the dowry system in India. Students were required to choose from a Shakespeare play or they could present their play on the topic of their choice. So, while the entire class went ahead with Shakespeare, five of us decided to work on our topic which is ‘The Ill-effects of the Dowry System in India’. The only difference was I along with my friends had to write the dialogues, direct the scenes, and present the entire play with unique characters.

How long it took to be completed?

Initially, this seemed like a pretty daunting task. Once we started forming the base idea and writing dialogues around each scene then everything seemed to fall into place perfectly. Since I was the one who had the flair for writing, I chose to write dialogues, direct, and narrate the play from the third-person perspective. The rest of my friends chose to play essential characters like that of the oppressed wife, the husband, the mother-in-law, and finally the lawyer. The play was presented for 15 minutes. And we were given a month's duration to prepare for the play.

By the end of our play, we received a standing ovation from our entire batchmates along with our English teacher. This was one of the most memorable, fun, and creative experiences of my life that I will always cherish.

Model Answer 2

What the project was?

During school life, there was a range of science and mathematics exhibitions that I was actively a part of. And I would like to share my experience of working in such an exhibition. I was in the seventh grade, I had just transferred from my old school to a new one. I was pretty new to the school atmosphere when there was a science exhibition being organized by the school. It was to encourage participation from students from 7th till 10th grade. I was always a science buff and hence, this felt like an ideal opportunity for me to interact with my classmates.

Who else was involved in it?

Along with two of my friends, both of them being new admission, participated in the science exhibition. We finalized on presenting a topic from chemistry as all three of us loved chemistry. So, we chose to display the atomic structure of all the periodic table elements by demonstrating a 3D model structure. The structures were made from ping-pong rubber balls or plastic balls and attached to ice-cream sticks.

How long it took to be completed?

It took us 3 weeks of intense work sessions after school to complete the entire model of all the elements. It was finally appreciated by all of our batchmates and some of our seniors and teachers who praised us for our diligent effort and hard work. Finally, I was able to get my first hands-on experience of working on team projects. It helped me in developing friendship, understanding, and knowledge through interaction with batchmates.

Model Answer 3

What the project was?

I would like to share my experience of working on a team project during my first year of college. It was for an English seminar. My love for the English language knows no bounds. At the very first instance of the announcement of the seminar dates I was pretty excited and enthusiastic about participating in the competition. It was supposed to be an inter-class English seminar competition.

Who else was involved in it?

I and three of my closest friends enrolled ourselves for the seminar. We had decided to not opt for the traditional route of discussing plays or works of eminent poets instead we went ahead with something pretty interesting. We had unanimously chosen our topic to be ‘The ambiguity in English’.It was a pretty fun, interesting, and unique topic in our view and while working on the presentation itself all of us had shared quite some laughs. So, we have been pretty assured the presentation would appeal to our jury members as well as our batchmates. However, a major obstacle occurred when I suddenly acquired a throat infection. It became so bad that my doctor advised me to speak as little as possible to prevent straining my vocal cords.

How long it took to be completed?

Since I was the key speaker of our presentation, the situation became a bit tense. However, we managed to save our presentation when my friends, never having presented before, took the responsibility of presenting the seminar in turn. I was the one who only made an introductory remark and then went ahead with changing slides. Though the entire auditorium was in laughter and everyone enjoyed our topic till the last moment and some even had predicted that we would end up winning still we lost. But that didn’t matter at all because the experience that we shared by the end of the competition was much more than a prize could have given us. I learned how difficult situations help you discover your true potential and make the bond of friendship even stronger.
