In my city, many people still enjoy donning hand-knit sweaters as well as other wool clothing. For the most part, mothers believe in this product since they knit cardigans, scarves, and sweaters out of pure love for their children. The cost of knitting yarn varies depending on the quality of the fiber and often falls between Rs 250 and 650. It is readily accessible in shops all across the city and is frequently purchased online.

Explain why is it popular?

They can be purchased at discounted costs in some of the city's marketplaces, including the wool market, the AC market, and the Akaal market. Once I was a toddler, particularly during the winter, my mother also wished to knit in her spare time using this yarn. Vardhman has its headquarters in my hometown, which may be a center for hosiery products. So, this is an often found local good that, in my opinion, is somewhat well-liked in my area.

Well, I belong from India which may be a diverse country. In addition, India is known for its unity of diversity. Different products are available in several regions in India which are popular among people. So here I might wish to mention one among them and that is Pashmina shawls. It's one of the preferred products in my hometown. I will describe it briefly. Pashmina is a popular sort of wool. It's one of the best traditions of Ahmedabad. Interestingly, Its textiles are first woven in Kashmir. Pashmina comes in different colours w=but is a soft fabric material which is woven in Kashmir.

What is it used for?

Pashmina is mainly used for making of shawls from the cashmere wool. These shawls are made up of a fine sort of cashmere wool. After weaving Pashmina shawls, these are transported to the valley of Kashmir in northern India, where it's entirely hand processed. It includes all steps from combing and spinning, to weaving and finishing. To be honest, this work takes longer than other products.

Actually, within the present scenario, I even have been living in Punjab for the last 15 years. During the winter season in Punjab, shawl sellers come to Punjab so as to Pashmina shawls. Last year, I also bought a red-colored Pashmina shawl from a seller. I wore it to stay warm. Really, it prevented me from cold and chilly winds. Pashmina may seem to be a soft and light material of shawl but keeps people the warmest during the cold winter seasons especially in the northern areas which are hill stations. The products are not just made for the people in India but are also imported to different parts of the world.
