You should say

  • Where the place is
  • What outdoor activity you did
  • When/with whom you went
  • And explain why you enjoyed it

Answer 1:

Where the place is?

Four years ago, I went to a hill station called Kasauli from my hometown. The scenery was really beautiful, and we even stopped a couple of times to take photos and rest. At first, it was a bit challenging because the road was uneven in some places, and we had to cycle uphill.

What outdoor activity you did?

Being a travel enthusiast, I regularly participate in outdoor activities. One such activity I did was unique and, hence, worth mentioning. The activity was going to a hill station on a cycle.

When/with whom you went?

I did it with my school friends and enjoyed it for various reasons. A few months before the trip to my country, there was a lockdown due to the coronavirus, so I had to remain indoors. So, this cycling trip was a pause for me because when the administration lifted the lockdown, we sighed in relief and planned this activity. We 12 friends went on our respective cycles. On the way, we clicked many photographs.

And explain why you enjoyed it?

Apart from this, there was a waterfall on the way since it was scorching heat, so we bathed in the fall. After that, we felt hungry, so we ate pizza at a food outlet. The other meal we had was cheese chilli, which was mouth-watering, and although the trip was tiring, we enjoyed it a lot. After reaching Kasauli, we roamed the city, purchased some handicrafts, and returned in the evening. The good time I had that day will remain etched in my memories.

Answer 2:

Where the place is?

Last month, my husband and I escaped to Mandarmani for a quick weekend getaway—just what we needed after weeks of city chaos. If you haven’t been, it’s this gorgeous, less-crowded beach in West Bengal with miles of clean, hard-packed sand and hardly any people around. Pure peace.

What outdoor activity you did?

The highlight for me was renting an ATV and riding it along the shore. I’d never driven one before and honestly felt a bit shaky when the guy handed me the keys (those things have some serious power!). But after a couple of minutes I got the hang of it and just flew down the beach—waves crashing on my left, wind in my hair, the whole stretch completely empty ahead of me. It was one of those rare moments where you feel totally free and alive. I couldn’t stop grinning like an idiot.

When/with whom you went?

Me and my husband picked a small resort literally steps from the water, so we could roll out of bed and be on the beach in our slippers. The weather was perfect—cool breeze, no sticky humidity, bright sunny days that weren’t too hot. Absolute bliss.

And explain why you enjoyed it?

Evenings were slower: long walks as the sun went down, the sky turning all shades of orange and pink, and the sound of the waves getting louder as it got darker. We’d just sit on the sand, no phones, no rush, watching fishing boats twinkling in the distance.

It was exactly what we wanted—chill vibes mixed with a little adventure. I came home sunburnt, sandy, and ridiculously happy. Already planning the next trip!

Answer 3:

Where the place is?

A couple of months back, me and my closest friends decided to ditch Mumbai for a long monsoon weekend in Lonavala—best decision ever. The second our car started climbing the ghat, the temperature dropped, the windows fogged up, and everything turned that insane shade of green you only get during the rains. It felt like someone hit the refresh button on life.

We’d booked this cute little villa tucked away in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees dripping with rainwater. Waking up to the sound of rain on the tin roof and that earthy petrichor smell… man, nothing beats it.

What outdoor activity you did?

The absolute highlight was trekking up to Tiger’s Point (or Tiger’s Leap, whatever you call it). The trail was a proper monsoon mess—slippery rocks, tiny streams running across the path, mud everywhere—but that just made it more fun. We were laughing, slipping, holding each other’s bags, stopping every five minutes to take a million photos because the valley looked unreal with clouds literally floating below us.

When/with whom you went?

By the time me and my friends reached the top, we were soaked, freezing, and grinning like idiots. The wind up there hits different—cold and strong—and suddenly clouds were drifting right through us. It felt like we were in some movie scene. Of course, we immediately attacked the bhutta (spicy roasted corn) and cutting chai from the lone Maggi stall guy who’s probably a millionaire by now. Nothing tastes better than steaming hot chai when your fingers are half-numb.

And explain why you enjoyed it?

We spent the rest of the days doing smaller walks, eating way too many chikki packets, and playing dumb games in the villa at night while it poured outside. Came back to Mumbai tanned (somehow), exhausted, and already planning the next monsoon trip. Lonavala in the rains is pure magic—10/10, will keep going back.
