Answer 1:

What the place was?

One of the memories that I remember vividly is from Alipore Zoological Gardens, where I was able to connect with the animals and enjoy every moment. Being one of the oldest zoos in India and a favorite among the people of Kolkata, it has a certain magnetic effect that I had heard about for years, and when I entered the zoo, it was a revelation.

Which animals you saw?

I spent part of my winter holidays at the zoo with my family. The air felt crisp, not too cold, just right for wandering around. The place is set up nicely—separate areas for mammals, birds, reptiles, all easy to find. Walking through the gate, I felt this sudden wave of excitement, like I’d stepped straight back into my childhood.

What you did while there?

We spotted all kinds of animals—lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so many different birds. But honestly, the Royal Bengal tiger completely stole the show for me. Watching it prowl around its enclosure felt electric. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. The monkeys were up to their usual tricks, and the birds in the aviary sang loud enough to make everything feel even more alive.

And explain how it felt to see them?

As we moved along, there were read-the-signs moments at every turn of the enclosure, and the signboards were filled with bite-sized pieces of information about the animals. We took countless pictures to freeze those moments in time, and we found ourselves pondering over the issue of wildlife conservation and the need to protect endangered species.

Answer 2:

What the place was?

Kaziranga National Park is probably the most unforgettable place I’ve ever visited to see animals in the wild. It’s famous for its one-horned rhinos—honestly, that’s what drew me there in the first place. I’d always wanted to visit, so when my family finally planned the trip, I could hardly wait.

Which animals you saw?

We went as a family, and the real highlight was this early morning jeep safari. Yeah, we had to drag ourselves out of bed before sunrise, but trust me, it was worth every sleepy minute. The air felt crisp and cool, mist floated over the grass, and everything was so quiet you could hear your own heartbeat. It didn’t feel like the real world at all—more like some wild, secret corner of the planet.

What you did while there?

Out on the safari, we got lucky. We saw all kinds of animals—rhinos, wild elephants, herds of deer, and a bunch of birds that looked like they’d flown straight out of a painting. Nothing really compares to the moment a massive rhino wandered into view, just munching on grass like it owned the place. Seeing an animal like that, free and out in the open, hits totally different than any afternoon at the zoo. It just feels raw—like you’re witnessing something you’re not supposed to interrupt.

And explain how it felt to see them?

We hardly said a word. The guide spoke quietly, and the rest of us just stood there, soaking it all in. I grabbed a couple of photos, but honestly, I didn’t want to see it through a lens. I wanted to remember every detail for myself.

Watching wild animals in their own world—yeah, it blew me away. It made me realize how wild and beautiful this planet is, and how much we really need to look after it. That day had a bit of everything: excitement, calm, even a little awe. No way I’ll ever forget it.

Answer 3:

What the place was?

I once got to see animals up close at this small local farm near my hometown. Nothing fancy, not some big tourist spot—just a quiet, working farm owned by a family friend. Still, it ended up being one of those experiences you hang onto.

Which animals you saw?

I went out there during a school break when I had all the time in the world. Right when I got there, I remember hearing animals calling out and breathing in that fresh country air. For the first time, I stood just a few feet from cows, goats, chickens, ducks, and these ridiculously cute rabbits. Before that, I’d only seen animals like those in books or from far away, so being right there beside them was honestly pretty thrilling.

What you did while there?

But what really stuck with me wasn’t just seeing the animals—it was getting to jump in and help out. I passed the day tending to the cows and goats, gathering eggs from the chicken coop, and, although there was a slight awkwardness at first, I quickly found the pace. I observed the owners going through their motions, taking care of each animal with such dedication.

And explain how it felt to see them?

This day provided a stillness that you do not find in the city. I began to appreciate the labor of the farmer and all the attention that goes into tending to the animals. Amidst the green fields and sounds of the animals, a simple and steady happiness grew inside of me—the small things that matter. It is one of those moments that I will hold on to.
