Model Answer 1

What is that place

Many places leave an indelible mark on our minds. Whether it was at our school or on a playground, we spent the majority of our time playing cricket matches. Even a relative's home, where all the cousins would congregate, has its own set of special memories. Today, I'd like to share a memory from my hometown of Deoghar, Jharkhand, which holds a special place in my heart.

Why is it special

I used to look forward to the Durga Puja holidays so that my family could take me to my hometown for vacations when I was a kid. Durga Puja was one of the major festivals that we used to celebrate, so it was customary for all the relatives to gather. To get to Deogarh, passengers can fly to Kolkata or Ranchi and then take a train. The lush greenery, less crowded street, and gentle breeze that greets me as soon as I step off the trail brings back memories. Deoghar is also well-known for its Shiva Temple, Baba Baidyanath Dham Mandir, which is a popular tourist destination. It is one of India's twelve Jyotirlingas and is revered.

How that place has a special meaning to you

The location has a special place in my heart because I visit it almost every year during festival season. It would be more meaningful to celebrate festivals with cousins and relatives. My visits became less frequent as I grew older, but I still have fond memories of the place whenever I am reminded of it.

Model Answer 2

What is that place

Anyplace becomes special if it has a lot of memories attached to it. One such place where I created a lot of memories is Patna, Bihar. Today I am going to share my experience of living in the city where I spent most of my childhood.

Why is it special

My family and I moved to the city when I was seven years old. I was taken aback at first by how chaotic the city was. It took me a year to adjust to the city noise because I had previously lived in a very small town. Patna is the capital of Bihar and has historical significance. It was previously known as Patliputra and is one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities. The Magadha ruler established it in 490 BCE.

Anyone with an interest in history is aware that Patliputra was the capital city of the Magadha Empire. Many scholars lived there, including Aryabhatta and Chanakya. The modern city is built on the banks of the Ganges.

How that place has a special meaning to you

The time I spent there is what makes this place so special to me. In that city, I grew from a child to a teenager. I had a lot of friends with whom I played every day. My favourite dishes were "sattu paratha," "sattu sharbat," and "malpua." My mother would make one or the other for me every day, and I would eat it with delight. My favourite location was the GolGhar monument. When I was a kid, my father would take me there every weekend. After climbing to the top, one can enjoy a spectacular view of the city. I didn't spend a single dull moment in that city.

Model Answer 3

What is that place

Thank you for allowing me to speak on this topic. To me, Delhi is that place that holds a special position in my heart. Today, I am going to talk about my fond memories of the city and why it is so important to me.

Why is it special

New Delhi, India's capital, is more than just a city; it is a moving picture. It welcomes everyone. When I first arrived in the city, I was taken aback by the skyscrapers. The buildings appeared to be sending kisses to the sky. I started taking the metro to and from college, and I felt like I saw half of the city from there. While New Delhi is well planned and organised, Old Delhi is the city's heart and soul. It has so much history in each stone that anyone would be perplexed as to how much the dead stones speak to them. New Delhi is mostly made up of British-style monuments, such as the parliament and the Connaught Place.

How that place has a special meaning to you

Since I was pursuing my studies from Delhi, I had enough time on the weekends to discover the unexplored alleys of the city. My favourite place still is “Purani Dilli” as it is the melting pot of cultures and languages. From eating delicious food to witnessing the colourful bazaars in the lanes, old Delhi is a place everyone must visit if they get a chance.
