Describe a Photo of Yourself that you Like Cue Card is an IELTS Speaking part two topic that requires candidates to address few questions. Three different model answers have been provided that explain different situations. The answers are centered upon questions like; when was it taken, where was it taken, who took it or how you took it, and explain how you felt about the photo.

What is a Cue Card: The Speaking Part 2 topic in IELTS includes cue cards containing topics that require candidates to speak. Candidates get 2-3 minutes time to speak and 1 minute for note-taking. In IELTS Speaking part 2, candidates' proficiency in grammar and vocabulary is assessed along with their confidence to speak in English.

When was it taken?

The best moments in life are captured in a fantastic snapshot, which never fails to make you feel happier. It holds all of the emotions and sentiments that individuals, locations, and eras have in common. I use my phone to capture images. I bought the Oppo F1 in 2016; it was my old phone. It had a 16 MP camera on the back. Regarding a snapshot I took in 2018, I would want to share it.

Where was it taken?

I shot this picture on October 16, 2018, as I was travelling to Lachung in North Sikkim. I visited North Sikkim on holiday with my family and other family members. I captured several happy moments spent with Mother Nature, family, friends, and various locations and wonders. My all-time favourite is one in particular because it captures the actual colours of the natural world.

Who took it? Or How you took it?

I marvelled at the vivid colours of nature on the journey to Lachung, which made me feel happy and upbeat. For future reference, I looked for scenes to shoot. We walked outdoors to take in the amazing views as our cab driver decided to take a rest after such a long journey. The majority of the grasses and leaves were rusty when I visited in the beginning of October; yet, the trees were green, the sky was blue, and there were clouds in the sky. That lively sight was recorded by me, and I want to get a good time-lapse shot of it. In addition, I requested that a friend take my picture against that scenery.

How you felt about the photo

I firmly feel that nature has so much to offer people. To experience bliss, all we need to do is set aside some time to study nature. Because of their significance and individuality, colours have always captivated me. The vivid colours in that picture still make me smile and serve as a reminder that each and every person is lovely and individual in their own way.

When was it taken?

It was back when I was using my Oppo F1 with 16 MP, which takes decent photos. When I travel to new places, I always enjoy taking photographs. Choosing the best scenes and moments makes me reflect on the meaning of life. I also enjoy photographing people who are dear to me. Furthermore, I enjoyed being photographed.

Where was it taken?

It was taken during my brother's wedding ceremony in November 2020. My brother's house in Guwahati, Assam, hosted the event. I went a few days before the big day with my parents. Family members, cousins, and relatives came from all over because it was the only chance for a get-together party since the pandemic.

Who took it? Or How you took it?

On the day of the wedding reception, a photographer took a photograph of me. I had been looking forward to my brother's wedding since a long time. I began my preparations in August 2020. As I planned the party, I dressed up beautifully for myself. After a long absence, I reconnected with my cousins and relatives and made some wonderful memories with them to cherish. We were all busy taking pictures with the bride, cousins, and family. Even the photographer captured our images beautifully. I asked the photographer to take a picture of me with my parents, and the result was perfect. That picture with my parents was the picture of the day and is still one of my favourites today.

How you felt about the photo

I felt the warmth and a sweet bonding of love, care, and support that we shared (father, mother, & me). Photographs have the ability to freeze time and remind us of people's hope, faith, and trust. This photo always reminds me how fortunate I am to have two pillars in my life. These pillars have shaped me as a person, allowing me to face this life journey with a smile and patience.

When was it taken?

I currently have a OnePlus Nord 2 handset that I purchased in August 2021. The phone is well worth the money because of the excellent picture quality. I've recently developed an interest in photographing various local foods and exotic cuisines available in cafes. I also enjoy photographing cute corners with perfect ambiance in cafes. Out of all the photos, I chose one of the Sizzler sizzling platters as my favourite.

Where was it taken?

I captured the picture when I went to a cafe with my friends in September 2021. A pleasant afternoon when people were enjoying the aesthetic ambiance with soft music playing in the background in the eatery.

Who took it? Or How you took it?

I took the photo in Guwahati, Assam, at a cafe called Uptown Escape. My meal was delicious, and the food was beautifully presented. It was a pleasure to dine with my friends after such a long time. I tried to take pictures of the food and my friends while we were chatting.

We ordered a variety of exotic dishes such as Sizzler, Lasagna, Corn Delish, Spring Rolls, and so on. I ordered a platter of Chicken Sizzler stuffed with veggies, chicken steak, and fried rice, which was delicious. I photographed every item, but the picture Sizzler still makes me want it today.

How you felt about the photo

The photo makes me want to feel the rich flavours loaded in the Sizzler, which makes me fall for the dish's diverse ingredients. This photo still makes me want to bite into a baked chicken breast. When I see this picture, it makes me happy because it entices me with a variety of flavours.
